Yes, voters are allowed to share their votes if they want :yes

thanks...

I'm gonna share my 2 cents after the end of the first ballot, however...I don't want to have a bad influence on anybody...

As some votes are coming in, I see a lot of similarities between Breakthrough of the Year and Youth Athlete, as I predicted that could be some confusion in these categories. I think the best solution right now would be to make the nominees in Youth Athlete ineligible in Breakthrough, and maybe rethink these categories next year :mumble:

I think we can just get rid of the Breakthrough category...we already have enough of them (and some are quite complicated to be filled properly -meanwhile some others would need more than just 6 option, I fear).

for next year, instead of "best doubles or pair", I'd enlarge the category to "best mixed pair/team" (leaving the same gender doubles to the same gender team category), so not to have to force a (potentially) mixed team in the men or women's categories.

I won't change it this year of course, but next year we really should rethink those categories so that there isn't much confusion among voters.

I would vote, but only later, tried to set some names together, but it is hard.

If you can't vote in the first stage (nominees), you can still vote for the winners :yes

A friendly reminder that the voting for the first stage will end tomorrow. I can do a little extension to Saturday if needed - although I think people will be more worried about New Year's :p I'm tagging some names (that I could remember) that might have some interest in voting, I hope more people will join this event (only 11 voters so far).

I totally understand if people can't vote because this isn't the best time, but I hope we can count with more members in the second stage (which will determine the winners) since it will be much easier to vote. I'm updating the voters list here.

@vinipereira I might take your offer on the first stage extension. My votes will likely be submitted late night on 30th Pacific Coast Time :d
