But here comes Poll #10 already.

These are olympic champions in certain events.

Imagine that all these champions are on the top of their game at the very same moment in time.

Who would have won gold?

Be aware that the voting ends on Tuesday March 22nd, 8 p.m. CET.

These pollls are like event start lists, who would win, what you think?

Let's vote!

women's Hammer Throw...of course this can't be anything but a plebiscite for :POL Anita Wlodarczyk, but here I just want to honor the poor Kamila Skolimowska, who could have won a lot more medals if she wasn't gone too early...

however, my final choice is obviously Wlodarczyk...

men's Swimming 50m Freestyle...here my pick is "the Tsar", AKA :RUS Alexandr Popov, one of the classiest swimmers ever...

Canoe Slalom, women's K1...here I go with :CZE Stepanka Hilgertova, even if Kaliska is surely also among those who deserve a honourable mention...

Canoe Slalom, men's K1...here I'm totally biased, I go with :ITA Daniele Molmenti...and to be honest, I think it's also a good choice overall, because in London he was so dominant and basically he's the only man winning the gold medal entering the competition as the main (if not the only) favourite until maybe Tokyo 2020...

Rowing, women's Single Sculls...here it's a no brainer, :ROU Elisabeta Lipa is arguably the best female rower ever and I'm genuinely surprised that she got so few votes in this poll (maybe many people don't know how many gold medals she won on different boats and are influenced by the fact that she only rarely competed in the single sculls and therefore she won "only" a single Olympic Gold in that discipline)...

There is a four-men-tie for 2nd and 3rd places in swimming. Anyone wants to break it?

    • Also a first: never before has a Dutch pair participated in the games, according to media rapports.
    • The Technical director of the Dutch Olympic Committee has, using his discretionary powers, decided to include them in the team. He cites “extra-ordinary circumstances”, but has not stated what they are. The use of these powers is quite rare. They were used in 2022 to nominate an alpine-skier.

    • Morocco won with second-half goals of Brahim Díaz and El Kaabi      Morocco  2 - 0  Comores
    • I think the points from the test event should be simple to figure out since WC points from 15th on (continuing through the nations cup races) just count down by 1. Why would it be any different? The only thing that would be uncertain is whether Li and Fischnaller get 1 or 0.
