Nope. We choose the gold medalist here in these polls.

And when I count all the votes, we will have a potential silver and bronze medalists as well - like in Imaginary Summer Olympics series.

The idea to have all the predictions for who-will-qualify for Paris 2024 is very interesting.

But this would be too much work for me. I won't have time for such a project, sadly.

So let's focus on predicting THE PARIS 2024 OLYMPICS CHAMPIONS for now.

well, it's way too early to make a prediction...

it's just a game, it's more about which team people hope they're going to win the next Olympic Gold medal, I guess...

so, let's play...:d

women's Volleyball...:ITA Italy, of course...it must be Egonu's biggest chance to win it all before she gets too old...

Basketball, both tournaments...it's a no brainer, it doesn't matter anybody's will...unless they choose to boycott the tournament, the :USA USA are always gonna win...easily (especially among the women)...

women's Football...maybe it's time for new faces to jump on the top of the podium...I'm gonna pick the :NED Netherlands...

Of course, it is.

But it is just for fun, so...

I don't know, at the moment I wonder if I should continue this series of polls or if I should abandon it and come back to it after we finish the Imaginary Summer Olympics series, which should be around October, I guess.

October will be more or less after the first post-olympics summer sports season and our Paris 2024 polls may be more interesting then.

But there were a few voters in this series, so I'm waiting what people say right now...

    • There is a saying to never trust a Russian in gymnastics. Well, ex-Russian turned Bulgarian Elvira Krasnobaeva is transferring now to Armenia.   The "official" reason is for personal, family matters, but in reality it's most likely because she wasn't selected for Paris, which angered her parents. Even though she is only 16, had her breakthrough just this year and started making mistakes, when they amped up the difficulty.   Our Federation's President Iliana Raeva said today, that she received calls also from France and Azerbaijan about Elvira's mother basically auctioning her. Raeva mentioned, that Krasnobaeva was going to be a vocal point in the next Olympic cycle, but now she can hit the road and missed her chance to ever compete for Bulgaria, even if she wanted to in the future.    We are also going to make a new Group from next season. After the disappointment in Paris, 4 out of the 5 girls announced their retirement.
    • true, but was expecting India to get troubles from Australia, not from New Zealand, and specially not by being bowled out. Makes the group phase interesting though
    • The 4th best team in the world beating the 3rd best team in the world is not a huge surprise though.
    • I’ve been recently introduced by some friends to cricket (or the t20 version of it, at least) and actually liked it so I’m following the World Cup that’s happening during this month
