  1. Poland can qualify with a loss only if they lose to Italy with more sets won than USA vs Germany.

USA only needs to win two sets vs Germany and they qualify no matter what is the result of Italy vs Poland.

Poland basically has to win at least two sets to stand a chance. If they lose 1-3 the only result for them is Germany win 3-0 which is the least probable out of the entire set IMO.

  2. Guadalajara 1000 has been skipped by many top names who focused on the Asian double-header coming up (WTA roadmap is total crap - brand new information) so we have a somewhat shocking final - :GRE Maria Sakkari vs :USA Caroline Dolehide. If Sakkari can't beat Dolehide to finally add to her Rabat 250 title then she might as well never win a WTA title again. Dolehide saved 3 MP vs Martina Trevisan in the QF.

  3. Nobody cares about "international law" unless there are war crimes and genocide on the agenda. Otherwise most countries settle things internally and NEVER ask for any outside help. The exception being puppet states like Belarus asking for Russian "help" and such.

Who's suggesting nothing be done?  All the post WWII nations held national trials as well as the international Nuremburg trials.  No reason why they wouldn't still work.

That would be improbable since USA, China, Russia and Israel among others don't recognize the International Criminal Court in Hague. We are miles removed from comparing this to the Nuremberg trials and it's easy to see why some people think ICC is a paper tiger. Because quite frankly it is if the two biggest players in the world give it a middle finger salute

Poland v. Ukraine getting a lot of attention, but the India v. Canada drama is just as interesting too. These geopolitical spats are coming too quick to keep up with this week.

The Sikihist separatist movement has been forgotten by the world too, maybe if they planted a bomb on some plane like they did in the 80s that would be a good reminder but I guess Trudeau wouldn't be so supportive of them instead ;)

  6. Someone still cares about that piece of land? There's nothing important in Karabach, it's only a dick measuring contest between Armenia and Azerbaijan at this stage. The world doesn't care about it. I still remember TV news about the first N-K war in early 1990s. Thirty years on and it's still on. Nobody freaking cares. I bet in 2055 the next generation will be hearing about this too.
