I'm honestly trying to avoid the conversation (for once) since its such a global hornet's nest, but saying that "European Christians" wouldn't buy into "holy wars" or religious conflicts might be one of the most laughable claims I've read on here. Modern Europe might be moving past that in some respects, but come on, really?
Historically religious wars were part of European Christianity but they all ended in the 18th century. One might argue the French Revolution was the last major European conflict aka civil war where religion played a huge part. But it seems like you're the expert on European affairs too so I will move aside.
You can laugh all you want and well, maybe you will also enlighten us on Islam as well? It seems like you have the perfect answers for all questions so I'm all ears to hear your solutions? Because the take "Muslims shouldn't fight Israel because Hamas leaders are staying in luxury hotels in Qatar" ain't gonna work IMO.

Right, but they are actually living it up in Qatar now. Hamas leaders are actually, physically in their nice offices and luxury hotels in Qatar, this is not a secret or something. There is nobody who actually believes they'll be staying in a sober closet there.
As long as there is no Palestine state those terrorists will keep on fighting regardless of where the Hamas leaders are staying. Since I don't believe they will accept the Israeli authority rule under any condition otherwise. Again, European Christians and atheists don't think like Muslims and then they are shocked their so-called solutions don't work or are ignored wholesale.

Meanwhile countries like Qatar and Saudi Arabia have condemned Israel for it, despite more and more evidence of it likely having been Hamas itself with a massive rocket failure. Kind of makes you wonder why the Hamas terrorists even fight, considering they surely know they're 'leaders' are right now chilling it up in luxury hotels in Qatar, with the finest food they can ever wish and any other dream coming true.
That's an European way of thinking but not the Muslim way of thinking. It's a popular mistake repeated over and over again. Meanwhile Quran allegedly says the only way to avoid suffering in the after-life is dying in jihad or a martyr. And that is probably what those Hamas terrorists think, if they die in the war they will be rewarded in after-life. Not what a Christian or atheist would buy however they're not the buyers here in first place

Joe Biden has cancelled the trip to Jordan to meet the Arab leaders. No surprise. The senile fool can't even bluff them with jack high at this stage

I don't believe Stan Kroenke thought FIFA would allow a soccer game to be played on a too narrow field unless he truly makes all the stereotypes about Yankees not knowing a damn thing about soccer true
Looks like another dick-measuring contest but FIFA wouldn't mind pulling the plug on SoFi Stadium if they have to.

I suppose the old fool Joe Biden's mission to Israel won't mean anything - like it was a PR stunt to begin with. I fully expect more Palestinian hospitals to be destroyed - Israel is in war with Palestinians and not just Hamas like they claim. A perfect moment in time for Netanjahu to kill as many Palestinians as possible and burn the Gaza Strip to the ground. I'm surprised it has taken him this long to do it but he ain't turning back now and that old fool Biden ain't gonna stop him either.

I would say the decision was more motivated by the target market than, "breakdancing simply isn't making enough money." The sports added (outside of cricket, which was added for a different target market obviously) already exist on the American market. Breaking doesn't have the same reach in the United States as American football or lacrosse. As @Laraja noted, the WDSF had to establish an international calendar and formalize the format across competitions. Like any sport, breaking could tap into the American market at some point, but it represents a greater unknown than the chosen six sports.
I see you've done a complete backflip here. Just two years ago you argued that people who opposed breakdancing as Olympic sport (myself included) are stuck in the past, too outdated for modern reality and the so-called youth is the primary target that will dominate the future selections. Well, that narrative didn't last long, did it? Looks like the dreaded tradition actually matters more than short span tiktok generation
After all, gridiron football has a long - careful, outdated word - tradition in USA which ultimately send the progressive breakdancing straight to the trash can. I'm not surprised that the "sport of the future" got axed so quickly. But that's not my problem, I never considered breakdancing as Olympic sport so I won't miss it whatsoever.
USA is a very closed market for new sports tbh. Hell, the one sport that is getting some visibility push lately - also thanks to Lionel Messi - is soccer - which is kinda popular all over the world already. While some of the previously established popular US sports are regressing and will probably never regain it's showtime status - gymnastics thanks to Larry Nassar scandal or figure skating which is no longer seen as a Cold War battle with Soviet Union.

Personally, I don't think my generation is any less "sports inclined" than past generations. I think there are a lot of reasons why the younger generation may be turned off from sport, but those could be addressed in the long run with a solid strategy. The "youth are lazy," or the "their attention span is too short" arguments are getting old fast. It's just an easy way for governments and organizations to write-off their policy shortcomings, or their inability to modernize. The issues are a lot more complex than those arguments.
What aged fast is breakdancing as Olympic sport. Like the old saying goes, the more things change, the more they stay the same. Olympics is business. Business thrives on reliable long-term customers. Tiktok generation is NOT a reliable customer. The breakdancing craze is almost over before the sport even made it's Olympic debut and USA - a country that understands what business is like no other - punted on the sport in favor of lacrosse
The issue isn't that complex if you understand that sport is a business. It's not 1984 anymore when Ingemar Stenmark got banned for making too much money
It appears that breakdancing simply isn't making enough money and it has no history or the dreaded tradition to lean on either. So it was swiftly removed after just one attempt.

Btw, just a couple of years ago some people were going crazy how breakdance is the sport of the future targeting youths and now it's axed from LA Games to make room for cricket - a sport historically associated with colonialism
I suppose that's a huge progress indeed. Where is all the support for breakdance now?

Center-right won elections in New Zealand. No wonder Jacinda Ardern jumped ship few months ago. This loss lands totally on her lap and she saw it coming from miles away and bailed out.

New Zealand hangs on 28-24. The Ireland World Cup misery lives on.

Well, early advantage New Zealand

Epic failure from Wales. Suits them well after Gatland called out Top 4 ranked teams from the other half for having to do better at the last World Cup

Poland won 2-0. Faroe Islands played almost the entire second half with 10 men

vs
has kicked off. Probierz picked his U-21 buddy Patryk Peda from Serie C for the starting line-up

The next deadline is the US President elections in 2024. If USA pulls the military & economic support from Ukraine then the war will take a massive shift in Russian favor and that's what Putin is counting on right now. Then you might expect all the sporting suspensions lifted en masse in 2025.

The major of Alkmaar Anja Schouten has blocked her twitter account and appears to pretend nothing has happened. Good luck in hiding behind protected status on social media
Another question is if the Legia fans are all to blame why none of them were arrested?
The only people arrested were the two Legia players.
Polish media are staying hot on this topic and it appears the Dutch police chief of match security was a completely new guy and this was the first match he supervized in this role.

Rangers swept the Orioles, Astros won 3-1 vs Twins and Diamondbacks are pouring it on the Dodgers, four home runs in one inning and they lead the series 2-0 already.
