  1. For my part I I try to be extremely objective so I listened to all the songs 3 times, every song was ranked on criteria such as vocal, music, rhythym, lyrics, language,
That ended the first round. I made then the first cut and songs with fewer points were eliminated (I kept 23 songs : 12+11).

The best 6 on points qualified directly to Semifinals.

The rest had to pass through the second round of listening (twice or 3 times depending if songs are still tied) then I had my 17 semifinalists.

The third rounds of listening determined the first finalists, an additional fourth round (Round robin ) was necessary to confirm positions and determine the remaining finalists.

But i had 4 reserve songs I liked on positions 13 to 16 :facepalm:I have to eliminated one of them

As you see it was the longest listening period i had :d  and yes it's stressing me lol :mirror:

    Rules

For this Prediction Contest you are predicting goal difference for each match. Every match ends with a winner (there are no ties, draws).

To do that, you have to write in empty Cell a number - goal difference for each match. If your prediction is that Team 1 is going to win, you should type goal difference in appropriate Cell of T1 Column. If your prediction is that Team 2 is going to win, then type goal difference in appropriate Cell of T2 Column

    Examples

    Group A

    Date and Venue Team 1 T1 T2 Team 2
March 31st 2017, h. 16:00, USA Hockey Arena, Plymouth Finland :FIN 2   :RUS Russia
March 31st 2017, h. 19:35, USA Hockey Arena, Plymouth United States :USA   1 :CAN Canada

Scoring system: Basic number of points is 5

If you predict right winner for a match, you will get 5 points regardless of the goal difference.

If your prediction is perfect (correct winner + correct goal difference) you will earn 5+5=10 points.

Depending on difference between your prediction and actual result, earned points will differ.

    Example

    Group A

    Date and Venue Team 1 T1 T2 Team 2
March 31st 2017, h. 16:00, USA Hockey Arena, Plymouth Finland :FIN 2   :RUS Russia

If Finland wins by 4, you will earn 8 points [5 pts for correct winner + 3 pts for goal difference: (5-2)]

If Finland wins by 2, you will earn 10 points [5 pts for correct winner + 5 pts for goal difference]

If Finland wins by 8, you will earn 5 points [5 pts for correct winner + 0 pts for goal difference: (5-6) - no negative points]

If Russia wins by 1, you will earn 2 points [0 pts for correct winner + 2 pts for goal difference: (5-3)]

If Russia wins by 3 or more, you will earn 0 points [0 pts for correct winner + 0 pts for goal difference: (5-5)]

In the Knockout Round, points will be multiplied by:

    • In the Quarterfinals, points will be multiplied by 1.25
    • In the Semifinals, points will be multiplied by 1.5
    • In the Medal Matches, points will be multiplied by 2

    TB Rules

If two or more contestants have the same number of points at the end, Tie-Break rule will be applied to break the tie.

Number or perfect predictions throughout the contest will be compared for the involved contestants. If they are still tied, number of second best scores will be compared, then number of third best results and so on.

    Example

    Contestant 1: 3x10, 2x9, 2x8, 2x7

    Contestant 2: 3x10, 2x9, 2x8, 1x7

Contestant 1 will be placed ahead of Contestant 2.

Contestant with most points wins the competition.

The Ranking is determined by the Sum of Points the Contestant scores in all predicted Matches.

You can enter the Contest whenever you want. The moment you post your predictions is the moment when you are entering the Contest and your points will be calculated for all the matches you predicted AND which haven't started.

In order to earn points from the start, you should post your predictions before the start of the first match of the Tournament - March 31st, h. 12:00 (GMT -4).

Congratulations to our first rugby contest winner of the year !
Congratulations @hckosice ! Congratulations team Slovakia
   !

The three medalists have been decided on the very last day of the contest, furthermore only 4 points separate Bronze medalist from Gold medalist and only 9 points separate the winner frm 6th place ! This is by far the toughest contest this year !

The battle for gold included many players. @hckosice and @Ufilov where at the top from the start on day 1 sharing first place as a sign of what's going to happen next. @hckosice dropped in next 3 days to 5th then and 8th place before going back to 6th and jumping to first position during Day 5 and Day 6. On Day 7 he dropped to 4th place due to a zero points :p then he jumped again to first place along with @Henry_Leon before finally keeping the leadearship to himself. Well played @hckosice !
Congratulations to you and to Slovakia for your first medal of the year ;)

Although making an optimal start occupying first successively first and second places on the first three days of the contest, @Ufilov falled to 10th position during Day 4 he gradually climbed back the ranking to 9th then 7th before finishing strongly with two days in a row in 3rd position (Day 7 and Day 8) and a Silver medal on last day. Congratulations @Ufilov for your second silver medal of the year

Congratulations to team Poland for a 4th podium :woot: this and for a 3rd silver medal.

Being out of top 10 on the first two days of the contest didn't prevent @Henry_Leon from getting bronze on last day; On day 3 he finished 7th and progressed day after day (5th then 4th) before jumping to 2nd then first position on days 7 and 8. Unfortunately for him he dropped to 3rd place. But it's still a medal ;) Congratulation Henry and Italy for their first medal of the year ! :hatoff:

Fourth-placed duet, @dcro from Croatia and @africaboy from Romania, weren't far from a medal since they were only 3 points shorter than Bronze medalist Henry_Leon , same goes for LDOG in his first participation finishing 6th at 5 points from a potential medal.

Another italian @SteveParker was always on top 4 or 5 and even toop first place on days 4 and 7 before falling at the end to finish 8th.

Team Italy with 3 players and Romania with 2 in top 10 were particularey brilliant :yes

Special mention to @africaboy , @Gianlu33 and @Dunadan who got most perfect prediction with 2 games out of 15.

This contest was very interesting for me, it was thrilling from the beginning until the end with changes on the table on every day.

I hope you enjoyed it !

See you in next contests ;) !

Now please stand up for the national anthem of Slovakia !
