  1. Out Boxing, Dressage as individual event, men's football, modern penthatlon, wrestling and rhythmic gymnastics. I'm also not a big fan of team competitions on individual events (tennis, table tennis, fencing, archery). I would not put any more sport in. Regarding Field Hockey, I actually like it a lot, and it's my favourite kind of hockey, though I don't think more teams are neede to the Olympic tournament.
  2. I'm having the same feeling from Athens 2004, after I saw the Beijing presentation: well, this was nice, but TOKYO WILL BE AWESOME!!!!!
  3. I predicted 1 (yes, one hahaha) and I'm glad to be right Compared to the nations of almost everyone here in Totallympics this sounds crazy, but this was actually an amazing Olympics with a lot of our athletes ending on top 15 and top 10, which is really great. No, not great in "this is everything I dream about", but more like "this is the best our athletes that have 0 government/private support can do against the best of the best".... A good example is our Taekwondo young guy, Rui Bragança, which I think was 3rd on the Olympic ranking before Rio (not sure about this as I don't like and don't follow taekwondo ), and all his career was paid by his parents (he's studying Medicine!!). Meanwhile, my shitty country spent 10 MILLION euros on building a "football city" for our national teams to train. So, with this reality, leaving Rio with any medal of any colour is really great!
  4. For me this was a better ending, as Modern Pentathlon is the sport I dislike the more on Olympics (I'm always hoping to see it gone) and because I love to see US Basketball team. I'm just a bit sad as I expected a little more from Serbia, but well, Durant+Thompson+Anthony... What an you do against them....
  5. RIP Serbia Kevin Durant is absolutely awesome!!!! P.S- Handball and Basketball final at almost same time.... I'm happy that our Sport's channel has 5 channels, I watched the Handball final on laptop while watching the first half of Basketball on tv!
  6. Congrats to Brazil!!!! I was expecting a "revenge", but Germsny has quite a team, they're future looks really bright indeed! Not a 7-1, but still a sweet win, and a deserved Gold medal!
  7. How isn't Brazil winning is something I can't explain right now. But it has been an awesome match so far!
  8. Carolina!!!!!! Big congratulations to the best in the world
  9. Just came here to say that Lee Chong Wei vs Lin Dan was one of the best matches ever!
  10. Absolutely amazing race! I'm a friend of João Pereira so I'm really happy for him, this was the best result ever of a portuguese in olympic thriatlon
  11. Had to read too much complaining posts to finally found what I was looking for on this thread. Thank YOU!
  12. For me, in terms of sports, it has been one of the best i've ever seen, really great so far!!! Regarding organization..... Not so much....
  13. USAIN!!!!!! As we say here: "CHUPA GATLIN!!!!" (suck it Gatlin)
  14. Chen Xinyii, 4th on the 100m Butterfly here in Rio, tested positive. Chinese women's swimmer Chen Xinyi, 18, 'tested positive to banned drugs'
  15. True, it was an amazing competition today! Though I like the idea of having this gender equality in sports, I really believe it's motivational for a lot of women to see that they can try to be the best at their sport and dream with an olympic medal. I would like for C2 to stay, but if for one to go in, another needs to go out..... then I don't mind to see it go away
  16. Good! Congrats for the Gold medal to slovakia!
  17. Yes I'm cheering for them as well but can't speak it too loud, last time I did here they ended without the gold
  18. Yes i know but I think it's good to show those events at the olympics to try to call for new athletes, and with more people trying the sport, maybe the competition level grows with it
  19. That's what I heard. Don't think that as bad news though, because they will replace it with the women's C1 to improve gender equality.
  20. so this is the olympic "goodbye" for c2 right? in a few minutes we'll see the last olympic champion in this event!
  21. wow Argentina and Mexico are out, what a surprise... Now the real Olympics begin for Portugal, Germany will be a totally diferent level....
  22. hahahahaha I always laugh with that guy (which I also wanted to win Gold and got eliminated so maybe I should start cheering for the ones I don't want to win )
  23. Great race by José Carvalho! Everyone didn't expect him to do more than the heats, and here he is in the final Congrats to Slovakia, I'm watching the final and you're Benus did an amazing race, I'm confident you'll get the first gold today!
  24. It feels like Gold! P.S- She's the reason I started watching and liking Judo, more than 10 years ago
  25. Just came here to say that i'm really proud of our João Sousa, who faced a way stronger Del Potro knowing there would be few chances to go ahead, but still was able to win a Set and to loose by 3-6;6-1;3-6. Proud of him! Great work!
