  1. I can see already that it will be difficult to adapt to Dutch lifestyle when I move there (I usually START dinner at 20h30 )
  2. Well that's easy, because Spain is a big nation that everyone around the world knows about; and Portugal is only that small thing next to Spain that no one knows about (or they do now mostly because of Cristiano Ronaldo).
  3. Portuguese delegation will arrive the day before the beginning of the contest, flying on our national airways TAP. As we are a people of the seas, Portugal chose to stay in Klaipeda, as close to the sea as possible. Since there is still no Cristiano Ronaldo's hotel in the city (yes, this is true, he has now his own hotels in Madeira and Lisbon, beside his statue and a freaking -->AIRPORT<--- that will have his name in Madeira ) our delegation will stay at Hotel Amberton.
  4. Not at all, but the leader of our nationalist party (the guy on the first campaign sign) uses a beard and moustache, so our humorists painted some fake moustaches to look like him and mock him Here communism is not that much popular either, but much more tolerated (they were the 4th more voted party at the last elections, and they are supporting our current government in a kind of coalition). The thing is that we had almost 45 years of far-right nationalist dictatorship (ended in 1974) and therefore anything that is too much nationalist is looked as a much more serious threat than the communist party. P.S - "fun fact": our dictator, Salazar, gave JK Rowling the idea for her Harry Potter's character Salazar Slytherin
  5. In Portugal, I don't think we have to worry, at least for now. Our nationalist party has very few votes, they did an anti-Islam-immigration parade in the streets of Lisbon a few days ago (as if we had many Muslims immigrants, we don't, our immigrants are mostly from our ex-colonies in Africa) and they managed to get a whole 70 guys (yes, seventy) for that parade. And they are generally mocked on social media and by our humourists. They managed to put this campaign sign in Lisbon's central square: "Enough of immigration! Nationalism is the solution! [airplane] Have a nice flight! [flight to their home land, intended for the immigrants] Portugal to theportuguese!" And our main humorists put their own "campaign sign" next to it: "More immigration! The best way of pissing off foreigners is to make them live in Portugal! [airplane] Welcome! We will never gonna made it using only portugueses. Nationalism is just stupid."
  6. I would vote for never!
  7. Good win tonight The match was terrible, except after the Latvia goal where Portugal woke up, but this is just the typical Portugal since forever: playing against weakest opponents as if it's a easy win, with no intensity, which ends badly many times (remember the draw with Liechtenstein a few years ago). But we won, and that's the only thing that matters
  8. When I saw the result I thought Argentina played without Messi...
  9. Why is Messi not played no? Injury? I don't think a World Cup would be great without Argentina, so I hope you start winning! I want a last official tournament with Messi, Ronaldo and Neymar (only the last one is secured though)
  10. This is indeed an interesting draw: Netherlands vs Belgium, Norway vs Denmark, England vs Scotland, Portugal vs Spain, Switzerland vs Austria I'm happy with the draw, Portugal has no chance at all in this tournament, but it could be much worse. I will be really happy if they manage to get a point, but even if they don't, they're still great heroes for going this far!
  11. I'm a bit confused right now. I don't know what happen but I went to sleep on 2016 and now I wake up in 1933!
  12. Whenever someone talks about Gary Jonhson, this is what goes on my mind
  13. Yes, to catch up is better. Although I got tired of Family Guy. South Park I watch since the first season (yes, almost 20 years ago, back when my age wouldn't allow for me to watch it, but when they started to show it here in Portugal people didn't even realised what it was for plenty of time/years) and it's right now a tradition: Spring is Game of Thrones and Autumn is South Park! It's actually my favourite tv show
  14. Yes that's the only annoying thing I find on this season so far, though I expect something will happen and we can see the real Cartman appearing soon. I loved though the thing they made with Gerald quiting twitter as if she had passed away The "big story" way of the season... I honestly got used to it. Now I see South Park as a really tv series, with the usual mocking different on each episode, plus a main story during all season
  15. Yes, because he has no idea what to do when he wins. (and I can relate this to someone.... ) Actually I'm a big fan of this season: the mocking of the social network overreactions, the memberberries, the trolls (and "How to create a scandal in social media" guide), the reaction of the people to the trump woman's scandal (" So you've been okay with the f*cking everyone to death, all the Muslim and Mexican sh*t, but fingers in the ass did it for you? Poor girls, did you get your feelings hurt after cheering for "f*ck all the immigrants"? " ), really strong season this one for me!
  16. I really hope Trump is crushed. I don't like Clinton, but I can barely imagine for a guy like him with no idea of what to do as a president to become president of the USA. But in the end is basically a Giant Douche vs Turd Sandwich (South Park, anyone?)
  17. I used to say the same thing about my team. And them we beat France and won the European Cup final without Ronaldo. So maybe that will happen with Argentina too
  18. Yes, I'll be in Amsterdam next weekend to prepare myself to move abroad next year
  19. YES!!!!!!! Portugal strongly supports the re-schedule, as next weekend our delegation will be in The Netherlands and it would be difficult to follow the contest P.S - Good luck and congratulation for the concert
  20. Well, it was in 2016 and not in 2015 (as in Back to the Future), but in the end the Cubs DID win the World Series!!!!
  21. Yes! The tactic worked with our portuguese candidate to the United Nations (he was elected as General Secretary last month), so it should work here as well!
  22. Great!!! I'm not sure I'll be able to vote (portuguese jury will be visiting The Netherlands on that day ), but something will be arranged
  23. I'll be here too! Can't be 100% focused on the draw but I'll be keeping a look waiting to see my flag
