  1. Yesterday I noticed this but forgot to mention here: on Portugal's match, the shirt's names started to... go away at the middle of the game hahaha Camisolas da selecao portuguesa perderam letras no primeiro jogo (if you don't wanna use translate you can just see the images )
  2. Amazing!!! Where did you took that picture, so I can share it? This is really something worth of sharing!
  3. I'm not sure if what I'm gonna say is true, but as a TV espectator it sounded that a lot of brazilian were cheering for Portugal, was that right? If yes, "Muito Obrigado"!!
  4. I want to go sleep but i think i'll just wait for the first 10 min of the Fiji's match so I can see 2 or 3 goals
  5. So the ridiculous GK goals aren't exclusive from women's football hehe
  6. Because: - the portuguese player understood that there was a mistake and wanted to come back to the field; - the argentinian players and the referee looked at this and thought he was just spending time, so they (including the referee) were pushing the wrong player to leave.
  7. So this just happened: they put the wrong number when announcing the substitution, so the wrong player had to leave instead of the intended one!
  8. It's a bit ironic, Paciencia in portuguese means "Patience", which is kind what you need on this football matches if you want to see goals
  9. Good match so far, very tight with shots and attacks from both teams. I wonder if we'll end this as a draw, to honour our seniors national team
  10. One interesting fact: one of our team members that is playing in this match (andre martins) is currently unemployed
  11. what? this is 3x speed? it lasted so long!! hehe
  12. Well I can't talk for the Brazilians, but here in Portugal we have really friendly relationship with Brazil, usually people here cheer for them on competitions (and I remember people really got happy for Brazil when it was announced that Rio would organize the Olympics ) Probably it's because we speak the same language
  13. If Portugal can't win, then I'm gonna cheer for our friendly brother, "país irmão": Go Brasil!!!
  14. What the hell was that from the Algerian GK??
  15. "Brilliant" draw for our tennis players..... Not that I would expect much, we're nothing in tennis after all, but for our best tennis player to play at the second round with Djokovic.... Oh well, at least (if he passes the first round) he will go down to the best in the world
  16. Ok, I found a more accurate photo of the coloured statue (this one is quite different and the colours are more similar to my flag )
  17. So in fact they did light the statue for both of nations, and both of country's media thought it was only for their own? hahaha I wonder how many more Presidents or Premier visited Rio yesterday with the same flag colours
  18. Are you sure it was Italy's? Yesterday they light the Cristo Redentor with the Portuguese flag colours due to our President official visit to Rio de Janeiro... Cristo Redentor pinta-se com as cores de Portugal
  19. For Ronaldo is easy: - besides the fact the team would never allow him to play (he has competitions where he needs to play in Real Madrid); - besides the fact he just played for a month in Euro 2016 until the final; - and besides the fact he is injured; our coach would never even call him. Why? Because (and I agree with this policy) our national olympic coach built a team (a young team) since 2/3 years ago, with which he intended to play the Euro U-21 (he ended 2nd) and to play the Olympics. It was a good idea, as we had a great team, but when the time for calling the players for Rio, some players were unavailable due to their participation in Euro 2016, and the rest of them were just forbidden to join the olympics by their own clubs. It was such a riddiculous thing that by the time our coach was announcing the players for Rio, he received a SMS from a team denying one of his players....
  20. Not sure about that.... Portuguese team at least is made 80% of players that never had a spot in a national team (the portuguese teams didn't let the good young players play the Olympics...) Still, it's the first time Portugal is in an Olympic tournament since 2004, so I hope they can at least perform a decent match
  21. I don't get it, why dropping? If there are political issues between the two countries, wouldn't be better to let them face each other? It's an opportunity for the nations to clash between each other without violence... This way it just seams iranians are running away from Israelits
  22. So, I'm a bit confused now, is Efimova now allowed to compete in Rio? And what about Stepanova of athletics (the whistleblower), is she definitely banned?
