  1. And I keep wondering if USA will ever treat us with American Country music
  2. Great analysis! I agree with everything you say (except the "german head coach" one because I don't follow german cycling team ). Luckily I think next year's in Bergen will have a much interesting and challenging route And I also hope for a better result for my national team. I mean, I knew it would be tough because Rui Costa wasn't there, and I know they were just 3 of them, but not even a single one finished the race.... and Nelson Oliveira can do much better than 20ยบ on Time Trial....
  3. This time it was more difficult to choose, but after listening more to the songs the decision got easier Portugal's votes are in!
  4. Yap, one of my surnames indeed Though I had no idea that Silva was "Forest" in Latin. In Portuguese it's the name of a plant
  5. Nice to see that our first King (the one that gave us independence from Spain, 900 years ago ) is on the list (102nd)
  6. 17th? So that means there were 16 monarchs who rule for more than 70 years???!!
  7. Top 10 for Portuguese boys: 1- Joรฃo 2- Martim 3- Rodrigo 4- Santiago 5- Francisco 6- Afonso 7- Tomรกs 8- Miguel 9- Guilherme 10- Gabriel Top 10 for Portuguese girls: 1-Maria 2-Leonor 3-Matilde 4-Beatriz 5-Carolina 6-Mariana 7-Ana 8-Inรชs 9-Margarida 10-Sofia
  8. I don't know if we have any Thailand users, but their King (Bhumibol Adulyadej) has died. He was the world's longest reigning monarch, in power since 1946 (even earlier than Queen Elizabeth II).
  9. Expected win from our national team but I never thought it would be this easy Good match from our team, nice to see young Andre Silva scoring 3 goals
  10. I hope they don't make any surprise on their next game and stay with 4 points
  11. That goal is still remembered here as one of the luckiest moment in Portugal sporting history!! Thanks to Iceland we avoided the "stronger" path and managed to get to the final without playing against Italy/Spain/Germany
  12. Antรณnio Guterres has been elected as new UN General Secretary
  13. This "Nations league" reminds me of Hockey World League (of Field Hockey). It's an interesting idea, but the Euro qualifiers got too confuse with this...
  14. Though loosing in Napolis was no surprise (Napoli is the big team in this group), I certainly wasn't expecting to see Benfica with a 4-0 score at 60 minute!
  15. I saw no Futsal news on TV this morning, I wondered "why?", but after looking for the semi-finals result I understand ( 2 - 5 ) Congrats to Argentina!
  16. As expected, Slimani always scores to Porto Porto right now is not a Champions League team, it would fit better on Europa League, so it's no surprise this defeat
  17. Well, I watched this World Championships to watch Climbing for the first time. I must say I was a bit sceptical for this sport but in the end, I found it really interesting!! (specially Bouldering) So interesting that made me go and look for Climbing walls here in Lisbon!
  18. PORTUGAL Ok so for the first time Portugal will send a non-Portuguese speaking song to a Totallympics Song Contest!! It's a risky move as well, this is very different from the traditional portuguese songs that I've shown you before, and I admit this is a music genre that is not that popular as others, but the truth is that this is a big and very famous band here in my country, so I want to show them to everyone here!! Moonspell - Scorpion Flower
  19. Just heard this on the news, Portugal is in the semi-final!! Portugal is 7th in ranking so I would guess that achieving top-4 is already pretty awesome!
  20. Is there any team that doesn't have Brazilian players on their squad? (ironically, the "real" Brazil is already out )
  21. Terrible, terrible news,,, They're even saying that he may never walk again....
  22. Btw, I'm not a usual fan of Futsal (wasn't even aware of the World Cup until I saw it here in Totallympics ), but there is one thing I remember watching that got me really impressed, and that I think it's worth of sharing with you all: a superb goal from one of our players, Ricardinho
  23. So without Brazil and Italy, who's the favourite now? Spain?
