  1. SEVILLA!!! Amazing, they are the kings of Europa League!
  2. wow, such a mess! So, resuming the situation, no Germany?
  3. So, crowned champion in Portugal! Benfica won for the 3rd time in a row and - since 60% of our population are benfica fans - all country is celebrating! (not me, my team is Porto ) Here is a picture of how Lisbon is right now:
  4. Really sad for Australia, she was clearly the best in my opinion. This new system was "great", in the way that showed everyone how horrible are the "people's vote", where the winners are allways the Eastern countries with the biggest number of neighbours....
  5. Australia: She was amazing!!! Too bad i'm pretty sure the crappy russian song is gonna win, but i'm going to cheer really loud for the aussies on Saturday !
  6. And our official 23 player rooster will be anounced next Tuesday, May 17th (after our national league ends)
  7. Our slogan is great, though I think it will need the whole bus as it is quite large haha "Uma equipa, uma paixão. 11 milhões no coração. Força Portugal!" "One team, one passion. 11 million (people) in our heart. Go Portugal!"
  8. Renato Sanches, a portuguese young player (18 years old) from Benfica, has signed for Bayern Munchen for 35M€, a record value for portuguese players (in our own liga of course ). This transfer can go up to 80M€ depending on extra achievments. This is causing a huge discussion here because some people think he's our future "Ronaldo", and others think he's not that special and that Bayern made a huge mistake.
  9. Good semifinal, all the songs I wanted to pass did it :-) i'm just hoping the Russian song doesn't win... Such an overrated song, in my opinion!
  10. Exactly my thoughts! I think it's really bad for the olympic future of golf, but I totally undersand the players, they dream is to win the majors, the ryders cup, those were the dreams that they grew with, not winning an olympic medal...
  11. Rosa Mota is a true hero here, she was the first portuguese woman (and only the second portuguese athlete) to win an Olympic Gold Medal!!! (my country only has 4 Gold medals, so you can imagine how huge she is )
  12. Really bad news for Olympic golf.... He and Jason Day would made a very strong "team" for Australia.. it's a shame have an Olympic Sport where its best athletes don't want to take part on it
  13. Wow, thank you for that link, very well explained! (Btw, didn't know there was an ElPais from Brazil ) I kind of had that "joke" opinion like you do, because yesterday the House of Deputies voting was broadcasted live on our news' channels, and I saw a bit of it, and it felt really weird both that kind of speachs and the cards that the very politicians brought to the voting saying "TCHAU QUERIDA". But once again, that's what the media broadcasts, so that's why is allways good to have an opinion from the inside
  14. For the brazilians users in here, who can give me a more real and trustful answer: Can you explain me what the hell is happening in Brazil right now? Here (in Portugal) they're showing a lot of confusing news about the "impeachment", showing the people in the streets, and the mess in the parlament, but there's something the Tv news never talk about and that I still don't understand: why all this? why is the parlament "kicking" away the Brazilian President? what was the trigger?
  15. I think that for Brazil's female team it would be a tough tournament, but for the men's team I really think they will (finally) get the gold at football (though I hope not, at least while Portugal is still in the competition )
  16. It's very unlikely for Ronaldo to play in Rio. They asked it to the FPF (Portuguese Football Federation) Diretor today, Pedro Pauleta, and he answered that "it will be difficult as he [Ronaldo] will play the Euro so it's unlikely for he to make the two tournaments"
  17. Argentina, Algeria.... Tough group!! I hope we can pass
  18. You are right, she was a big hit here, but not for the "Deixa ele sofrer" (don't even recall hearing that song), but for another one: "Show das Poderosas". I'm not really a fan of the song but have to admit it, it was a big party hit!!!
  19. I was just hearing this song now and.... isn't this from 2014? (i guess because the video is from june 2014) Is that "legal"?
  20. So sad to hear this... That was such a good song!! Oh well, at least I got to know the singer and have already add it to my playlist
  21. The Men's Masters (one of the most important championships and my favorite major) started today! Jason Day and Jordan Spieth (current champion) are probably the favorites to win, but all the best golfers in the world are playing so anyone can win!
  22. Korea is really strong in the women's golf, I don't think they will fail on sending a full 4 players team to Rio And besides being the youngest two-time major winner in LPGA, she's the youngest double major winner in Golf (male and female) in 147 years!!! (Previously winner was Young Tom Morris from Scotland, when he won British Open in 1868 and 1869)
  23. Lydia Ko is the first major winner on 2016! Regarding Olympic qualification, this results means nothing to the winner (she's number one ), but it brings some changes to the two runner-ups of this major: Charley Hull - climbs 16 (!!) ranking position and is now the 25th of the world; In Gee Chun - climbs only one position but overcomes her korean team-mate Amy Yang, which means she's in the top 4 korean AND in the olympic qualifying list Next stop: Men's Masters!!
