It depends on the perspective: in my opinion the 2004 edition was the worst EURO ever hahaha (actually it wasn't, I had an awesome time with my country organizing it, but the end.... That made it the worst Euro ever for me )

Eder is (or was) the most hated player in Portugal. He is called the worst player ever, and people call him the "-1 player". And yet he scored the goal that gave Portugal the award we never dream we would win!! He NEVER scores, he is useless all the time, and then he scores on an Euro Final!!!! Yes, I can admit that. This Euro's playoffs were divided into the strong team's side and the weak team's side, and with a incredible amount of luck (it was Iceland's win that put us in 3rd place) Portugal got a path to the final with much easier teams The good news is that, because of that, we reached the final. The bad news is that, at the final, we'll face a team from the "strong side"...

So Gareth Bale didn't played in semi-finals? (and don't forget that Portugal played the semi-final without Pepe, who's probably one of the main reasons my country reached the semi-finals )

Well, thanks! But honestly I don't think you (or I) will have that much luck. To me both France and Germany would be equally difficult: Germany as you say always wins to Portugal (we say here "Futebol é 11 contra 11 e no final ganha a Alemanha"/"Football is 11 against 11 and at the end the winner is Germany"); and France has the home advantage + Platini advantage (and is always the team that crush our dreams). But I would have preferred Germany, because if we loose, I would preferred to loose to Germany (I'm a big fan of the German football), and because I hate France
