  1. Not sure what's more exciting, this contest or the Murray vs Raonic match!
  2. Good to know!! I knew metal music is not a very popular music style, so my ambitious here was not that much to get lots of points but to try to show any metal fan here that we also have good music in Portugal as well
  3. A reference to DBZ in the middle of TISC. 12 additional points for that!
  4. Ευχαριστώ!!! I always liked Greece!!! (with the exception of Euro 2004, we still haven't forgot that!!!! )
  5. Welcome back! And thank you for your points
  6. Really? I really like their song actually, I wonder how far can it go on the classification table
  7. Thank you Algeria for helping Portugal to not end with 0 points!!!
  8. Haha, so Portugal got points from nowhere? I like this new feature!!!
  9. Maybe this year we'll have a non-European winner!!
  10. As for the Portuguese goals for today: good- get a point very good - end on top hald amazing - end on top 10 Although I'm not expecting much here, this year's song purpose was not intended to be popular, but to show you one of our most famous metal bands Good luck everyone and let's have some fun!
  11. Great sightseeing! Palanga looks really great! And this ski indoor center.....
  12. Just wait until they set a foot on the sea, then they will run back to Kaunas again
  13. Team Portugal is actually in Klaipeda precisely because it's close to the sea, and we Portuguese can't live without sea
  14. I'm really getting ready for a spectacular final on Sunday between Djokovic and Murray! (unless someone makes a suprise and "ruins" it on the semis of course )
  15. So now you know it. When the time comes, you can cross your fingers to not get points from Portugal, as it will definitely mean your song will not be in the top 3!!!
  16. Hey, c'mon, I went to Ireland a few years ago in Summer and I did get sunny weather for a whole 1 hour!!!! (joking of course, I was actually lucky and got a lot of non-rainy weather - sometimes sunny, sometimes cloudy )
  17. I actually choose the first one as well! And I have great beaches in my country (with warm water. not warm like Mediterranean warm, but definitely better than the ice age's temperature of northern/central Europe seas ): and good mountains as well (not high, only 2000m max) I lke the sea and can't imagine to live without seeing it once in a while, but in the end, I do really prefer mountains like those in Alps or Pirineus! I've just been at Yellowstone in USA some months ago and it was amazing
  18. Well, he took power between 1929 and 1930, although his dictatorship only went official in 1933 as "Estado Novo" (what a "great" year that was, right? ), so it would be accurate to say that we had 41 years of his regime. And although the dictatorship only went over in 1974 with our own liberal revolution (with tanks and soldiers but very peaceful, I think only 1 or 2 deaths, very unusual for a revolution..), Salazar died in 1970, being replaced by his successor, Marcelo Caetano. Fun fact: Others dictators died through suicide, or were murdered, or died naturally of old age. Not Salazar. He died after falling off a chair and hitting his head on the floor
  19. I can see already that it will be difficult to adapt to Dutch lifestyle when I move there (I usually START dinner at 20h30 )
  20. Well that's easy, because Spain is a big nation that everyone around the world knows about; and Portugal is only that small thing next to Spain that no one knows about (or they do now mostly because of Cristiano Ronaldo).
  21. Portuguese delegation will arrive the day before the beginning of the contest, flying on our national airways TAP. As we are a people of the seas, Portugal chose to stay in Klaipeda, as close to the sea as possible. Since there is still no Cristiano Ronaldo's hotel in the city (yes, this is true, he has now his own hotels in Madeira and Lisbon, beside his statue and a freaking -->AIRPORT<--- that will have his name in Madeira ) our delegation will stay at Hotel Amberton.
  22. Not at all, but the leader of our nationalist party (the guy on the first campaign sign) uses a beard and moustache, so our humorists painted some fake moustaches to look like him and mock him Here communism is not that much popular either, but much more tolerated (they were the 4th more voted party at the last elections, and they are supporting our current government in a kind of coalition). The thing is that we had almost 45 years of far-right nationalist dictatorship (ended in 1974) and therefore anything that is too much nationalist is looked as a much more serious threat than the communist party. P.S - "fun fact": our dictator, Salazar, gave JK Rowling the idea for her Harry Potter's character Salazar Slytherin
