Does not look good at all here. at all. with the ice hockey team very probably missing the olympics for the very first time in history, many recent retirement in different sports, endless idiotic war behind the backstages among our skiing associations resulting in the ban of our skiing federation...
 
It is going to be the smallest delegation ever for us, I will be surprised if we will send more than 10 athletes to Beijing.(and even 10 is a it ambitious, I am affraid).. quite embarassing for a 80 % mountainous country, but yeah, this is what we deserve I guess....
 
In other hand, it may still be paradoxically the most successful WOG in history for us, Petra Vlhová baring injury and finding her top form next February

I'm in Beijing now, 15 minutes from the hockey venue.  I took this job a few years ago with visions of seeing Team Canada play.  Now....I'll be lucky if I get to see a bobsled session.  I've been waiting years for this moment, for the whole Olympics to be in the city I'm living in, and it's just poof, gone.  I'll watch it in my living room like I could have done from anywhere in the world.

Bolsonaro 1.0 hasn’t gone particularly well for Brazil, so maybe there’s some logic to not electing Bolsonaro 2.0 in Chile.
 
Boric has clearly given many Chileans hope after many years of political strife. It’s clear that Chileans have wanted real change for while, and they’ve made their choice. We’ll have to see how well Chile’s democratic institutions hold up under him.

Based on the qualification document, the Netherlands either needs to finish in the top 12 in the ranking list or have a top 8 World Cup result. They only have two more races remaining and their best result is 11th. Seems unlikely, but possible...

becomes the 10th and last team to qualify for Beijing. This means the exact 10 countries that contested 2018, will compete in 2022.

Because they had a WC regular last season. Apparently everyone was pretty clueless about the qualification system, so just sending a skier for the whole tour guaranteed you multiple spots. Same with Latvia in the women's events.

Latvia will likely have 5 (!!) female skiers in the final analysis. Maybe 6, if Bendika decides to start in the relay.
