I would be surprised if ICF allowed Canada to announce LVL if the spot wasn't confirmed.

This is probably the most unpredictable Olympics since WWII, even at the Games there could be an outbreak which sidelines half the athletes competing.

As for the speculation, I read it again, I don't speak and was using translator, and it doesn't seem so. I originally read this translated line "
If Canada won after months of waiting, everything indicates that this place in C-2 will also give access to C-1 to Vincent Lapointe." as her getting a spot, but I think it now means she can race the c1 if given a quota in c2.

Beijing 2008 was the most for Greece (156) not including the two times we hosted, and since then we went down every time (103 in London, 93 in Rio, 83 in Tokyo) so hopefully for Brazil's sake they wont suffer the same fate as us.
