    Is that what happened? I'm watching on youtube with Spanish commentary and I was just generally confused. EDIT: I think there is one more game to go.

    Tuesday is going to be intense. It did sound from the post event interview with Jordan Young that the Discus was being held on Tuesday. Maybe they’ve added it in or maybe I’m mis remembering.

    The conditions have been an issue all weekend - I hope that the meet on Tuesday goes better for some of these athletes on the bubble.

    I didn't see the race but Bishop-Ngriau is really good at peaking at the big events. Hopefully she's on that trajectory again.

    Kierra Smith has the A standard in the 100m breaststroke. She could do the individual event as well.

    Byron McDonald said on the commentary to expect a team that could be as high as 23 or 24 swimmers to be announced likely tomorrow but maybe later tonight. I really do hope that in events where a Canadian didn't hit the A standard but are younger and a possibility for future world championships or Olympics are part of the team.

    They must be bringing more than 20. It seems like a bit of a missed opportunity to not bring some of the Fina B qualifiers, especially the young ones like Eric Brown.

    I kinda think she realized she wasn't going to be on the top of her form this meet and decided to go out with the win with the 200m Fly. It sounds like she may retire soon.

    It looks like there is 107 divers who qualified individually and 136 total quotas. There's not going to be 29 divers who are only competing in synchro, right?

    So it looks like Summer McIntosh isn’t on the start sheet for the 1500 tomorrow anymore. My guess is that Titley doesn’t want to over work her at the Olympics. And her winning the 200 free was probably not part of the Original plan. I suppose we’ll find out when they announce the team tomorrow but I fully expect her to be named for the 400 free and not the 1500m.

    Interesting. I was under the inpression that they likely wouldn’t be taking some of the B standard athletes. I think with the priority listing in the qualification document they may not but didn’t notice the wording.

    Liendo is clearly on the rise. Looking forward to see what he can do. So weird all his events are near the end (except the relay).

    The Team announcement tomorrow is going to be fascinating. They've given themselves lots of flexibility in terms of who they select this time. I would expect them to name either Kisil or Hayden to the second spot in the 100m Free. I hope its Kisil. As much as I want to see Javi Acevedo names to the team it would be hard justify when they have Liendo, Gaslav, Thormeyer PLUS Hayden and Kisil hitting the A standard.

    I was not expecting Penny to be that last today. Well done.

    He didn't like great on the second leg of the prelims this morning. Resting for him is probably good. I'm guessing that we will get two under the A standard tonight. Liendo and Thormeyer looked like they were holding back a bit. Ruck looked better but still not her best today.

    Is that surprising Re: Debues Stafford. I thought she would want to do 5000.

    I think Summer McIntosh knew exactly what she was doing with the 800m - she wanted enough to qualify. Pickrem wasn't tapered for this meet per her post-race interview, she's going to be really strong by the Olympics. It was a heart warming story to see Hayden and Liendo qualify for the same event. I was feeling a little frustrated yesterday after yesterday's results but today was more reassuring.

    It looks like they took the top placed athlete from either the final or semi-final not already qualified.

    I'm perplexed how Canada managed a second spot in women's and not get a spot in the men's. I was using the ranking on the FIG website which shows Canada ahead of Ukraine which is why I am so confused.

    Its listed as international mixed 4x400m - so who knows what they have up their sleeve.

    Not sure if it was there before but it looks like a mixed 4x400m relay showed up on the Canadian Athletics Trials schedule.

    I would expect Sanchez to qualify in the top 4 for the 100 too. That way Titley has options for the 4x100m and 4x200m relays depending on if her and Ruck are swimming better when the time comes.

    Day 2 of swim trials certainly not as exciting as Day 1. Was hoping to get 1 in the W 100m Breastroke and one in the M 100m Breastroke under the A standard. It does look like Oleksiak is holding back. Really thought Sanchez would be in the top 4 too, happy for Savard though.
