  1. What happens if/when North Korea rejects their quota earned from the 2019 World Championship?
  2. I feel like this is the type of thing that happens to Canadian athletes often....
  3. I don't understand the qualification in this event, haha. Why would Canada need to choose between the two?
  4. I'm still a bit confused with the continental quotas. All of Europe, Asia, Oceania and the Americas need to be represented, right?
  5. Maybe Argentina will beat the US just for Canada to lose to Argentina in another sport.
  6. This is the first time I've ever watched it and it's very difficult to understand without commentary.
  7. I wasn't expecting her to even medal here!
  8. I'm not expecting much after seeing his freestyle split on the relay last night.
  9. I've only ever watched this sport for 5 mins right now but Canada was very bad here.
  10. Hopefully this provides some good lessons for her and the whole team next year.
  11. Oleksiak has looked on form as well for the first time since 2016 - I maintain the scratch for her in the 100 free was a mistake.
  12. Smith's backstroke record was impressive but as a Canadian I can't help but feel a bit fearful about Masse's gold chances in the 100m.
  13. That was quite the session for the Canadians especially impressed with Thornmeyer.
  14. TBH Australia doesn't have a great breastroke leg either, but maybe Canada goes with Pickrem....
  15. That was a National Record for Canada in the relay right?
  16. I honestly don't think the Canadian teams were mentally prepared for the tournament and I really think that falls on the federation for not preparing them enough. I'm also perplexed to how the teams brought coaches from the national team as opposed to their own coaches, but that may be me not understanding curling culture.
  17. Amazing that we've managed to do as well as we did with under-performing in the curling events. I don't follow curling other than the Olympics, I wonder what the federation's strategy will be going forward since clearly something went totally wrong here. The men at least played decent for most of the tournament. I am still super impressed with the ski cross, I've watched the women's race several times now, they ran such a smart race!
  18. Yikes! Not the best day overall, but the two short track medals (although the bronze in the relay is disappointing since they made the one error) and the ski cross qualification. I'm also pretty stoked about Valerie Grenier's 6th place finish in the combined. Very positive result for a 21 year old when our alpine program needs a bit of a boost.
