    I’m following the live scores and I gasped when I saw the takeout update.

    In the finals. All of the top 4 teams went faster than us in the semis.

    Honestly of the sports I was expecting Canada to get 5 medals in I was most nervous about snowboarding. It’s a great surprise.

    A win is a win in the end. Hopefully they beat ROC later today and clinch the playoff spot.

    My favourite part of this event and women's slopestyle is how genuinely everyone seemed excited no matter who won. It warms my cold heart.

    It seems weird to me that there are no reserves but I also only pay close attention every 4 years.

    Not really medal chances but it would be good to keep an eye on the Biathlon relay and the women's downhill (Gangon was 5th in the last training run). I hope to see some solid results there.

    Looks like Thenault is the only Canadian through to the Aerials final. The other two Canadians are 22 and 19 respectively (Thenault is 21), many of the other competitors are in their late 20's or early 30's, lots of promise here.

    Marion Thenault into the final. It'll be a tough field but first Canadian woman in the final since 2006.

    I was feeling a bit upset about the bronze in monobob but CBC was showing the race and it was so much better with the Canadian commentators and I really like Myers Taylor so its not a huge deal in the long run.

    Was I being too optimistic to think this would be a silver. Better than falling off the podium altogether but wracking up the bronze right now is getting a bit disheartening.

    I keep thinking about that bizarre call for China getting advanced and Canada not getting a penalty and it makes me think the judges are lining up the two countries as medalists.

    This is the exact opposite of Dubois who underperformed on this years World Cup circuit. I would have not pegged him as a 2 time medalist.

    Dubois is through to the final after being impeded.

    So going with Olympic experience seems to have not been the key this Olympics. Jones has been terrible - I admire her tenacity to not ever give up but this is really bad.

    This is a typical Canadian summer Olympics performance. Ugh this is awful. And to make matters worse we needed to see his family react.

    Now Steve and Kristina are complaining that they a hard time getting in touch with Anastasia Buscis because she is too busy - I think they are trying to figure out what happened to the ice that's causing this delay.

    Just terrible because the skill and talent there to force games but just can't do it.

    I didn't say it was great insight - but it was frank insight. On another a solid 9th place finish for the women's cross country relay - this was a 13th place in 2018/
