hating Newton, Coach BB and the Empire of Evil is "a state of mind" to me...and nothing will never change it...

p.s. did you really expect Belichick going with a rookie QB? (especially one that's not super-hyped after his college career) ;)

Not really but I would have believed in a 7-9 season with Stidham as the starter and then some trade for Justin Fields in next year's draft. Unless Newton falls off the rails with another injury, drafting Fields seems highly unlikely now.

I wouldn't say that having socialist (even if national-socialist) government for five years and the presecutor from communist martial law times as a member of Constitutional Court chosen by votes of the now ruling majority.

I was talking more about a left-wing party capable of winning votes. Law & Justice took away the social funding & support for the working class while Civic Platform took away the liberal ideology and LGBT support so to speak. Divide & conquer!

Robert Biedron got 4x less votes than the left party alliance in the Parliament elections last year :p  He even got beaten by the nationallistic Krzysztof Bosak in Slupsk despite being a President of that city which allegedly showed Poland is ready for openly gay person in charge. No, we're kinda not ;)

:USAJohn Lysak is the oldest living Olympic Games participant. He will turn 106 years old in August.

:SWE Folke Alnevik is the oldest living Summer Oympic medallist (bronze in 4x400 relay 1948). He turned 100 years old on New Year's Eve.

:HUN Agnes Keleti is the oldest living Olympic champion. She is actually older than Elda Cividino but only made her Olympic debut in 1952, some 16 years after Cividino.

:ITA Celina Seghi is the oldest living Winter Games participant (4th in downhill & combined in St. Moritz 1948). She turned 100 years old in March.

:SWE Carl-Erik Asplund is the oldest living Winter Olympic Games medallist (bronze in 10,000 speed skating 1952).

:URS Viktor Shuvalov is the oldest living Winter Olympic champion (Ice Hockey center, 5 goals/2 assists in the 1956 Games).

Apparently all the medallists from St. Moritz 1948 are no longer alive. The last Oslo 1952 champion passed away in April of last year ( :FIN  Lydia Wideman, gold in 10km cross country).

As TVP associated Trzaskowski with LGBT more than Biedroń, he took his votes.

LGBT votes won't win any elections in Poland. Civic Platform sits on the LGBT fence forever and Trzaskowski won't change a thing. Biedron hardly did any better than the much ridiculed Magdalena Ogorek five years ago despite years of service in Sejm and the media-friendly personality. The post-communist left-wing is truly dead in Poland  Though I believe Zandberg would give them more votes than Biedron who can't talk about anything other than LGBT rights. His tune got old a while ago already.

    It's gonna be interesting.

The country is getting more divided like all seasoned democracies do :p Biedron & Kosiniak-Kamysz got less votes combined than the far-right Bosak   It's hard to imagine how Napieralski got 13,5% ten years ago and now the highly-touted Biedron collapsed below 3%. He can duly bogger off to European Parliament and stop wasting everyone's time. Obviously Kosiniak-Kamysz is the big loser. Polish society wants more of the PiS-PO showdown :coffee:

Twice in a year or so. I mean, if you're afraid to fight the guys you're scheduled to fight, just be a man and admit it

Whomever uses EPO in 2019-20 is downright stupid. I believe his entire career was build on steroids but the really strict doping controls only came when the biggest fights arrived as well.

  7. So much for the new President ending the War on Drugs making any difference :p I mean how can people be so naive about it? The Sinaloa, Zetas & Gulf cartels keeps doing their thing. Pablo Escobar & the Colombians are glorified with these fancy TV shows while Mexicans are just stacking up the body count year after year. What else is new? :dunno:

Same problem. Puerto Ricans also have a history of low turnout in independence/statehood votes.

There’s a possibility DC becomes a state of the Democrats do well in this election.

DC is a Democrat dominated area for as long as I can remember. Even Walter Mondale won here with 85% after getting blasted everywhere by Reagan  I checked back and the worst result for any Democrat Presidential nominee in DC was Jimmy Carter in 1980 - 74,9 % :p

To say there's a possibility Democrats do well in this "state" is the understatement of the year  GOP might as well don't enter any candidates here like they did in Deep South back in the segregation days. No way this bill ever gets passed unless Dems control both houses and have a sitting President as well.

Ugh. I need an “angry” reaction for that.

    That’s just unacceptable.

Well, are you surprised there are people who still dislike the "imperiallist America"? I'm not :dunno:  Fundamentalist islam is doing fine and well even in wake of 9/11 (and the fact George W. Bush is so heavily criticized for starting the War on Terror in USA). This narrative about Bush Jr being the worst US President actually helps the bin Laden martyrdom cause a lot IMO.

That’s terrible. I really expect better from HBO. I’ll have read into this further.

I don't. Censoring 'Gone with the Wind' as 'history lesson' is one thing but they quickly caved in when President of Mexico called them out. Oh, how the mighty have fallen :p

Well, so it’s for the next generation, then!  It’s just as important to keep the production line rolling as it is to keep the big names happy.  Unless people start bucking up & showing some courage there’s going to be a whole lot of places for new sports on the Olympic schedule, because a lot of the old ones are just going to die off.

Multi-event sports like athletics or swimming will never fall off the Olympic schedule. Both of them are ideal to create new global icons with several medals to be won. Two biggest Olympic icons of the XXI century - Bolt & Phelps - competed in these two sports. Coincidence? :p
