Â
Duerr didn't choke for once but only 2nd place.
-
Big mistake for Zrinka Ljutic and she tumbles down to 24th but at least Popovic will get a Top 10.
-
What's the label at the bottom? Hopefully not "Made In China"

Not really, every Slovak visited Nowa Targowica at least once in his life, kinda our pre-christmas shopping Mecca
I thought the Kosice to Krakow bus trip is more popular They even have ice hockey team in Krakow
-
Yeaj, obviously all of alpine skiing would have to be held in Slovakia. The Nosal hill is probably even in worse shape than Harrachov right now. We'll take the ski jumping part

There currently 1, but you have to pass through Nowy Targ, which is more important destination for casual Slovaks than Zakopane
Only ice hockey fans probably know a city like Nowy Targ (New Market) even exists

Aryna Sabalenka takes the final set 6-4!!! That was a high-quality GS final, the best WTA could have hoped for.

Btw, Polish press says our gov wants winter Olympics in 2034Â
Â
well… what can i say
Â
good luck with thatÂ
Â
I'm old enough to remember when they wanted to host WOG in Zakopane based on the initial Malysz craze. Hell, they even filed a bid. 20+ years later we still have ONE fucking road from the Balice airport to Zakopane?
-
Sabalenka takes set two 6-3 with some impressive serving. Into the decider we go... Russell Crowe in the stands and all that
-
Elena Rybakina wins the first set 6-4. Some old serving yips from Sabalenka during that set.

I lost track how many nations Allison Reed represented but has won the current lottery and she's in 4th place after rhythm dance. Basically four duets in line for bronze medal.

Just a remind the 2024 Olympics will be played on clay so not really Haddad Maia's best surface

Here's a solution: allow Russian and Belorussian athletes to change their nationality and complete under the flag of any other nation without the current strict nation changing rules. With the added notion that they can't easily go back to being Russian athletes once the ban on their country is over. If they don't agree with the action of their country, allow them to leave their country for good, in an easy way that they can compete in 2024. No neutrality bullshit where Russia can spin it in a way that they are still Russian. They won't be Russian if you see a flag of some other nation next to their name. This would be a much bigger humiliation than the ban or the neutrality, seeing their best talent flee their country and leaving their failed state behind.Â
Â
You're basically asking for resident status that allows to obtain citizenship. That's too complicated and would have to apply for other nations as well. I can't see governments granting that door. Even Zola Budd obtained UK citizenship based on her grandfather being British to compete in 1984 Olympics. Maybe @Grassmarketadds more details?

Something for @hckošiceApparently Slovakian crime mob is dumping bodies on the Polish side of the border. The death of the policeman from Nitra was ruled a suicide i.e. the guy closed himself in the back of the trunk and shot himself in the head there Even our journalists & locals suspect there's something fishy going on here
