Morgan Lake beats Johnson-Thompson's NT with 1.99 in Hustopece of all places...

Pia Skrzyszowska 7.78 PB in Orlen Cup. Only 0,01 off Zofia Bielczyk's 43-year old NR

It's Willingen. 150m is moderate here these days. Yuki Ito had 154 meters in training last year which remains the longest official jump by a woman (though not a hill record since it was set in training).

Think there was a downhill race in the 80s or 90s where the TV cameras had stopped recording and gone home before someone with a start number in the 60s came down in 2nd place.
I remember Josef Strobl winning Val d'Isere downhill with bib #61 in 1994. He won one of the training runs and Eurosport stayed with the live coverage until he was on start and he promptly won the race
The situation you refer to was probably Katja Koren winning Flachau Super G with bib #66 in 1993. I don't remeber seeing that live on TV. One year later Koren won Olympic bronze in slalom with bib #33.
Or maybe Markus Foser winning Val Gardena downhill with bib #66 in 1993?

Four Ekstraklasa games so far this weekend:
Game 1: called off due to snow
Game 2: kick-off delayed by one hour due to snow
Game 3: no problems
Game 4: interrupted after 30 mins due to snow. About to resume soon if anyone can see anything on TV...

2. What terrible things has Fargo done to you?
It's probably the only city in either Dakota a casual person has heard of
Well, I've heard of Sioux Falls too but that's about it

Meanwhile apparently it's -30 deg Celsius in Lake Placid this weekend. Could be the coldest return in ski jumping history next week

So apparently Kyrie Irving has requested a trade from Brooklyn Nets? This clownshow on wheels keeps delivering again

Men still have the World Cup slalom in Chamonix tomorrow. I assume if the weather is good there then it's the same in Meribel/Courchevel since the distance is ca. 120 km?

Was it on Q? Thought it was in the Mixed Team and that was the point they called the whole day off as being too dangerous.
Yeah my bad, it was in the Mixed event. Quals were postponed due to high wind. The second trial round was called off after 20 jumps earlier.

Major snow here as well. Even one football match was postponed and the next one is delayed by an hour.

Polish Sports Minister is hyping up a statement to be made by around 40 NOCs sometime in the near future saying that they don’t support the participation of BLR/RUS. Assuming that actually happens, it would be quite the fracture in the Olympic Movement (again, assuming that actually happens and it’s not just postering on his part.)
Ah yes, the Law & Justice ministers getting some love from 'democratic' entries all of the sudden
I've said this before, Poland will NOT boycott the 2024 SOG even if Russia/Belarus athletes compete as neutrals. This is a weak bluff with jack high. Everyone here knows it and no Polish politician will die on this hill when the chips are down. The intense backlash over the 1984 boycott that ultimately led to nothing is still very much alive in Polish memory.

I wonder what sports / events are most possible rivalry for medals between RUS&BLR and UKR assuming all NOCs competing in Paris???
Wrestling, judo, boxing, shooting to name some of the most obvious ones...

All Japanese podium in the second women's event. Yuki Ito takes the win.
Nasty fall for Jenny Rautionaho while Maren Lundby also fell after a very moderate effort. Rautionaho despite missing in the 2nd round still finished ahead of Eilers who had two jumps
