  3. Here is my medal predictions, 3 points = almost certain to medal, 2= some to good chances, 1= low outside chance. If event is not listed, I do not think they will medal. Archery (1 point) Arguably one of the hardest sports to predict. I am going to give the entire program: 1 point Athletics (18 points) Men's 100: Andre de Grasse: 2 points Men's 200: Andre de Grasse: 2 points Men's 800: Brandon McBride or Marco Arop: 1 point Men's 5000: Mohammed Ahmed: 1 point Men's 10000: Mohammed Ahmed: 1 point Men's 50km race walk: Evan Dunfee: 1 point Decathlon: Damien Warner: 3 points Decathlon: Pierce Lepage: 1 point Men's 4x100 relay: 1 point Women's 800: Melissa Bishop: 1 point Women's 1500: Gabriela Stafford: 1 point Women's pole vault: Alysha Newman: 1 point Women's hammer throw: Camryn Rogers: 1 point Women's 4x400 relay: 1 point Basketball (2 points) Women's team: 2 points Boxing (1 point) Women's middleweight: Tammara Thibeault Canoeing (1 point) Women's C1 200: Katie Vincent Cycling (9 points) Men's road (race + trial): 1 point in total Women's road (race + trial): 1 point in total Men's team pursuit: 1 point Women's sprint/Keirin: 2 points in total Women's omnium: 1 point Women's team pursuit: 2 points Women's cross country: 1 point in total Diving (9 points) Women's 3m springboard: 2 points in total Women's 10m platform: 1 point in total Women's 3m synchro: 3 points Women's 10m synchro: 3 points Football (1 point) Women's team: 1 point Golf (1 point) Women's: Brook Henderson Gymnastics (5 points) Women's artistic team all events: 3 points (I am predicting 1 medal across all events) Women's trampoline: Rosie MacLennan: 2 points Judo (4 points) Men's 73 kg: Arthur Margelidon (1 point) Men's 100 kg: Shady El Nahas (1 point) Women's 57 kg: Jessica Klimkait (1 point) Women's 63 kg: Catherine Beauchemin-Pinard (1 point) Rowing (8 points) Men's team (all events) (2 points) Women's team (all events) (6 points) Rugby (2 points) Women's team (2 points) Skateboarding (1 point) Men's street: Matt Berger (1 point) Softball (2 points) Women's team: 2 points Sport climbing (1 point) Men's combined: Sean McColl (1 point) Swimming (24 points) Women's 100m freestyle: 1 point combined Women's 200m freestyle: 1 point combined Women's 100m butterfly: Maggie McNeil (3 points) Women's 100m back: Kylie Masse (1 point) Women's 200m back: 1 point combined Women's 200m breaststroke: Kelsey Wog (2 points) Women's 200im: Sydney Pickrem (2 points) Women's 400im: Sydney Pickrem (2 points) Women's 400/800/1500: Summer McIntosh (1 point) All 3 women's relays: 9 points Mixed relay: 1 point Taekwondo (2 points) Women's 57 kg: Skylar Park (2 points) Tennis (2 points) Women's doubles: Fernandez/Dabrowski (1 point) All other events: 1 point Triathlon (2 points) Men's Tyler Mislawchuk (2 points) Volleyball (2 points) Women's: Pavan/Humana-Parades (2 points) Weightlifting (5 points) Men's 96 kg: Boady Santavy (2 points) Women's 64 kg: Maude Charron (3 points) Wrestling (2 points) Women's 68 kg: Danielle Lappage (1 point) Women's 76 kg: Erica Wiebe (1 point) This is purely subjective! 105 points /3 = 35. 6. It’s not that fair as it looks. it’s humanitarian but not fairness. For example, I lost in semi final but my opponent found COVID positive after that so I advance in final. And then I cherish this opportunity a lot, I defeated my opponent in final so I am the champion. To conclude I lost semifinal but I am the champion just because my opponent got a specific virus called COVID. But if he withdrew due to diarrhea then it’s a another story.

  8. of course it's Lopez in Tokyo. it was never supposed to be anybody else. (unless he gets injured) Oscar Pino was even training freestyle for the Olympics but when they registered him for the qualifiers, UWW told them he can't wrestle because technically he won the quota for Cuba in Greco-Roman (even if he is not going to use it) and one wrestler can't win two quotas. in 87kg lots of better guys failed to qualify they all could be gold medal contender . among the qualified wrestlers I only see a head and shoulder above the rest. and are next best wrestlers to me. of course in heavier weights lots of matches will finish 1-1 without anybody really scoring. luck will play a big factor here. qualified for the Olympics with this tactic of being passive intentionally in the first round just to receive the first caution, he may do that again in Tokyo. is also a master of doing nothing and winning the matches on caution. and for 130kg, I would say Lopez with no doubt but we didn't see him wrestling for a while and he is way heavier than 130kg. he has to cut weight which will take his energy, considering his age he is not unbeatable anymore. Kayaalp used to be much better but he looks really average and beatable nowadays. still I consider him the 2nd favorite. Semenov is clearly 3rd or maybe even 2nd ahead of Kayaalp. it's a bit hard to pick a 4th wrestler here, I believe that will be decided by someone 1-1 wins. but I had to pick one I would say

  13. How is KJT underperforming? Isn’t she injured? Also DAS should win 3 medals and you could also medal in women’s 800 m, women’s 1500 m, women’s 4x400 m, maybe women’s pole vault, men’s 800 m, men’s 1500 m and men’s 4x100. I think without KJT you have no safe medals, but overall you should still win 4-6 medals. Your future looks pretty good (thanks to Reekie, Hodgkinson, Hunt, Burgin and some others), but your Problem might be that you are best in the most competitive events (track), where it is the most difficult to medal.

  18. That's not the rule anymore. Now ARs have to WAIT until the play is over and then raise the flag. The rule was tweaked to prevent situations when a player was actually onside and the quick AR call was wrong. The rule was tweaked back in 2013 already (before the 2014 World Cup) but some fans still call it by the old version. I see this happen even in Polish league when commentators sometimes wonder "why the AR raised the flag so late?". Because that's the new rule! The previous rule tweak was in 2005 when AR was allowed to keep the flag down when a player offside wasn't making any play at the ball.

WKF announces the continental quotas and that's completely different than mine !!! https://www.wkf.net/news-center-new/olympians-confirmed-karates-olympic-debut/1598 I have to check things when I have the time but it seems they had different ranking for each weight (I mean not a combined ranking for 50kg and 55kg) terrible news for me that Alipour is not going to qualify ! and both +61kg quotas are filled now

Marenic mozda ipak ima šanse. Izgleda da Willems iz Belgije ozljedjena, a dobila bi CQ. Realalokacija bi trebala biti za Hrvatsku. Ali bolje sačekati potvrdu iz IJF.

  34. Like always, we need 10 shots to score a goal and the opponent just 1 or 2. Unbearable. And the coach takes an eternity to realize who are his best players. It took him an year to realize Martínez was the best argentinian GK and now it will take him another year to realize who are the best CBs. Hopefully he will be fired by then.

  36. Ondřej Synek will not compete in Tokyo in rowing single sculls. ?? Earlier this year he tried double sculls with Jakub Podrazil, did not go well. Later doctors found out he suffers something like "Syndrome of decresed performance". He says despite the great training and no injury, his physical condition is really bad and he decided to withdraw. Jan Fleissner, WCH and ECH junior champion will take his place.
