  1. Lucas Fernández got our first bronze medal in boxing. Football, long jump, surfing and yachting are certain possibilities.
  2. Quite a suspicious veredict, to say the least.
  3. Some results at the Pan American Games: Shooting: Julieta Mautone finished 4th at 10m airgun. Marathon: Nicolás Cuestas finished 6th with 2:13'59, his personal best. Men's beach volley: the team advances to quarter-finals, where they will play Argentina. Kayak: Sebastián Delgado qualified to the K1 1000m final. He and Matías Otero also qualified to the K2 1000 final.

  5. Indeed. Overlaps a bit with gymnastics.
  6. I saw Uruguay's rugby sevens match versus Jamaica, and couldn't versus Chile because the official live stream failed repeatedly. We played horribly.
  7. More fuel for conspiracy theories In 2015 and 2016, the Argentina women's national team always got better results than Peru, be it at South American tournaments, World Cup or World Grand Prix. Then the 2017 World Grand Prix, Argentina lost to Peru 3-1 and 22nd, one place behind. But Argentina got invited to the 2018 Nations League. They won just 5 sets in 15 matches and were relegated. At the 2017 South American Championship they lost to Peru 3-0 and Colombia 3-2. Months later they did win the South American qualifier to enter the 2018 World Championship, where they finished 19th. At the 2018 Pan American Cup, Argentina lost to Colombia and also ranked behind Peru. However, they got a wildcard for the 2019 Pan American Games, skipping any qualifier. Argentina also skipped any qualifier to enter the 2019 Challenger Cup and 2019 World Cup, as the world rankings were used as criteria. In fact, Argentina is ranked 11th, as they get many points for having qualified to the 2015 World Cup and 2016 Olympics. And they will keep their advantage over Peru and Colombia as long as they keep getting invitations to points-rich tournaments.
  8. Uruguayan driver Santiago Urrutia will debut at the TCR Europe, also at Hungaroring.
  9. The Finland player obviously clashes with the American goalkeeper, but the goal interference applies when the goalkeeper is inside the area. To judge that, I would need to know the rules properly.

  23. As usual, the tournament format is a mess. It's not a 10-team round robin, but it's held over 9 rounds, and some matchups are played twice.
