  1. Hosting the event in Canada is never a good idea .. so many countries are not here compared with 2014 (Barbados, Nicaragua, Dr, Venezuela). I guess the silver lining is Belize will qualify at least 2 here (one woman qualified and they will get a reallocation in k1 1000 most likely).
  2. @vinipereira @mrv86 I am looking at the canoe sprint qualification system and it says a maximum of 16 athletes can be entered. But when you add up the max per discipline (11 for kayak and 6 for canoe) you get 17. Is there a rule I a missing perhaps?
  3. Which is sad because now one of the smaller countries will lose a quota What if one of the three DR ladies do not compete in an event. DO they lose team status?
  4. "In the team finals, three gymnasts compete in each event with all scores counting."
  5. got a wild card in men's beach volleyball
  6. Bulgaria https://whbl.com/news/articles/2018/sep/14/games-bulgaria-preparing-bid-to-host-2024-youth-winter-olympics/
  7. Thanks for clarifying that up. But slots 9 to 13 say "team event" for 2019 Pan Am Games, but only award 2 slots per country, so it's a bit confusing.
  8. According to the Pan Am Mixed relay start list: https://www.triathlon.org/events/start_list/2018_sarasota_camtri_triathlon_mixed_relay_american_championships/325136 Only 5 countries are eligible for quotas (and five will be awarded) So that means for triathlon +2 +2 +2 +2 +2
  9. She also trained in Toronto and coach is also from Toronto and I got to say hello to her after the all around final as she was in demand from some of the media
  10. Is live scoring down?
  11. Well the first day only sees the K4 men and K4 women compete and with only 6 entries in each event, and 6 qualifying for Lima2019, all have qualified.
  12. Pan Am Championships start tomorrow in Dartmouth 15 (16) teams are scheduled to compete: Argentina Belize Brazil Canada Chile Colombiaia Cuba Ecuador Guatemala Jamaica Mexico Puerto Rico Trinidad & Tobago Uruguay USA Venezuela (TBD) With how the canoe qualification system works for the 2019 Pan American Games, Belize should be able to qualify its first athlete to the games.
  13. I totally agree. Why should another network influence times in another country? Too me I don't think it should be the case. However, NBC should have the right to say what they would like.
  14. I don't agree with this but NBC has paid the most to broadcast these games. Its only fair they get a say.
  15. Only 12 can qualify through the team event... which opens up 2 extra slots.
  16. Pan Am Entry lists: https://thegymter.net/2018/09/11/pan-ams-begin-this-week-in-lima/ Sad for Aruba All countries competing in the men's/women's competitions will qualify for 2019 Pan Am Games. Congrats for qualifying first athlete! @thiago_simoes
  17. The scores seems inflated across the board. Canadian gymnasts had 3 routines over 16!?
  18. Did Brazil's defending gold medalist retire?
  19. With less athlete quotas overall. Not bad indeed!

  21. Stefan Ritter continues to be in the ICU https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/edmonton/stefan-ritter-cyclist-mexico-crash-edmonton-1.4817050
  22. Canada refuses to compete as the trade war with the USA continues to intensify (In all seriousness, Canada is in).
  23. 8 0 Canada's biggest ever international win...
  24. 4 out of 5 Canadian boats have won their heats so far! What a great start.
  25. Is there a link to these results?
