  1. Didnt the Iaaf recently pass a rule limiting nationality changes?
  2. Still far out of an Olympic medal. After a fluke 4th in London. Li actually beat silver medalist Sindhu at the Commonwealth Games and if she did that in Rio she may have been the silver medalist.
  3. Real surprise was Michelle Li losing to another Canadian. Shocking result if you ask me.
  4. Your childish behaviour is not making you look like a complete ___ Just for the record, the Algerian song was reserve 1 in my ranking, and the host can confirm that.
  5. Even then Finland has won a curling Olympic medal. 8 teams for this event makes no sense. 16 makes more sense.
  6. Closing thoughts: All songs were good minus 1 song I really did not like (won't mention which one). So it was difficult to give points. Thanks for hosting the competition Uk!

  10. Just like Azerbaijan's defending gold medalist losing in the first round to Canada's AVF in London 2012? All other sports do not take place in the Commonwealth games so no discussion there, but Canada has had success in all those sports you listed in a continental or global level. And most of Canada's medals in Rio 2016 were born in Canada. The others chose to move and train here so there is no problem with that... unlike most countries in the Middle East buying athletes... how pathetic.
  11. Some of these games have no sense. From my understanding these games exclude those of a different faith. All of those countries competing are not 100% of one religion... so its a bit awkward for athletes that are not of that particular faith. Yes I do agree with the Commonwealth Games being more irrelevant. However, CGF released a 2022 plan where there would be Olympic qualification (or making the event important).
  12. Out of the 4, Canada has had the longest wait
  13. Canada, Malaysia, Australia and England have all made bids for the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
  14. No point in these games, just another 'dictator' games.
  15. Women's baseball and football have been dropped from the 2019 Pan Am Games program, so much for gender equality And sport climbing will not be contested.
  16. Canada just beat the USA h2h in a relay!!
  17. Buenos Aires withdraws from the 2023 Pan Am race, leaving Santiago as the only bid. First time ever 2 west coast cities will host back to back.
  18. Malaysia and Eritrea have now officially qualified! https://data.fis-ski.com/dynamic/olympic-quotas-list.html?sectorcode=al&listid=2018
  19. Well it is as the NBA season is held during the winter. The Canada Games for ex. has this model. Some summer sports like synchronized swimming, judo etc. are held during the 'winter edition'
