It was also confirmed that softball will be organised as a single round robin competition, while baseball will feature a format of two groups of three teams, followed by a knockout phase" Great, lets fly in 24 athletes per team, use a dedicated stadium in Fukushima (which is not necessary) for some teams to just play 2 games. What a fuking joke.

    The IOC Charter says events need to be finalized at a min 3 years before the Olympics... so yes.

    The IOC is fuking up the sports program to be polticially correct. What a joke. If you need more events for women, then add them but dont subtract from the men's side.

    Or bring it back to 23 per men's roster and 21 per women's. Would save 44 quotas.

    Skiing got hit the hardest with -41 quotas. Snowboarding hit the hardest. Drop of 44 total, while ski jump gained along with freestyle

    My suggestion for quota reduction in skating: Speed skating: Reduce quota by 18. Limit number of athletes per nation to 16 would save quotas... Figure skating: Reduce Pairs to 18, Ice dance to 22. -8 Short track: This is impossible to reduce without compromising the number of ppl per heat.

    Well the top 5 nations really do not need a 6th athlete, so that saves about 10 spots.

    Biathlon quota reduction makes sense. Skating does not make sense. Speed skating is seeing growth in non-traditional markets and short track is ridiculously hard to qualify
