  1. Huh, I guess I must have only added India to the OP while forgetting the playlist Thanks!

  3. APELDOORN - The Totallympics Open International Song Contest 2020 will be held in the city of Apeldoorn, but the focus definitely won't be on the city alone. Apeldoorn has been chosen because it's in the heart of the Veluwe, arguably the most beautiful part of the Netherlands - at least the entire Dutch delegation, every member of which was born and raised on the Veluwe, agrees. There's many centuries of history located here, sometimes in the obvious places, other times way more hidden. A word from the President of the organizing committee: "I was born on the Veluwe and spent many an hour cycling around it's forests, but there was towns not twenty kilometers away from home I'd never even heard of until I happened to come across them via some small forest road." As one would expect, these places have their history, and it's often near these hidden gems where one can find things like hills. Huh, hills? Yes, hills. Not your regular hills, but burial mounds, thousands of years old. Our President once more: "Take Niersen. Maybe three people and a cow live there, who knows, I think I was 25 when I happened to come across this place. Blink and you passed it, while cycling, but apparently I didn't blink. It's not a very interesting town, but the surroundings more than make up for it: the burial mounds, thousands of years old, are unmissable once you know they're there, and this area has been inhabited for at least 6000 years! Sorry it took me so long to find them.." Anyway, the Veluwe. The true green heart of the Netherlands and as organizing committee, we would absolutely stress any Totallympian who ever visits the Netherlands to come and pay the Veluwe a visit - a Dutch delegation member would be more than happy to personally welcome you! It's really not that special, until you realize thousands of years ago a group of people gathered here to bury someone The majestic red deer, King of the Veluwe - during this time of year one can hear their mating calls echo for kilometers across the forests in the twilight, the committee President can speak from experience and say the sound alone is impressive!
  4. The playlist is up-to-date https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLzUHeCF584Usl2kyCF-e_8s3lVBxom0re
  5. Right, not necessary for Germany anymore I see, still for Malta @Glen, which is no problem. Then there's Moldova @Ionoutz24, if a song is submitted before Wednesday, it's fine by me.
  6. Right, catching up on the last few days and going to enter everything in the playlist that isn't there yet now. If it's still needed, for anyone who needs it: a time extension is no problem @catgamer
  7. Right, this thing with hemispheres being different than 'the Western world' and so on always confused me
  8. Totallympics has got another Brazilian Rollerski Circuit win The 5k freestyle, as announced yesterday: revenge! @brunamoura crossed the line with a victory scream in what was a massive new personal best time! Second place for Duda, who absolutely broke apart her old PB The women and girls are improving left and right and that is really awesome to see!
  9. I'm in the Western Hemisphere and I've never even heard of Columbus Day
  10. Mihkel Räim taking the stages, Rein Taaramäe taking the GC. Too bad Jaan Kirsipuu isn't there anymore to sprint well and then withdraw in blind panic when the first traffic bump is in sight. Nobody started the Tour without finishing it more often than Kirsipuu's twelve times
  11. Meanwhile Edoardo Affini got fined 200CHF for a sticky bottle today. Also, Edoardo Affini withdrew after Friday's stage. So yeah.
  12. That's what happens when it's a final climb where the steepest sections are at the very last parts, leading to everyone more or less waiting for that to possibly do anything
  13. No problem at all, of course. I'm getting a bit short on time myself with all kinds of things anyway, so no problem extending the deadline if needed.
  14. Our favorite Brazilian cross-country skier has been beaten Young Tatah da Silva was too strong in the last meters of today's freestyle sprint final, where Bruna was leading for roughly 1.37 of 1.4 kilometers. Oh well, that happens and there's no shame at all when someone is simply a bit too strong on a given day. I was very impressed with Tatah's skiing in the sprints last year, so I'm not that surprised she is the first new woman to take a win. Third place for Duda, who beforehand I'd have given a better chance. As for the men: young Gu Oliveira took his very first Rollerski Circuit win as well, what a day for the youngsters! Olympian Victor Santos was comfortably the fastest in qualifying, but was disqualified for a double false start in the final... Next up: tomorrow's 5k freestyle, time for revenge
  15. Favourites Van der Poel and Van Aert looking at each other when three guys were away and Pedersen made the jump, they were too late then What a show in those final ten kilometers! And what a race by Pedersen making the jump and sprinting to the win. By far the most impressive bit of cycling I've seen from him And yes, I know he's a former world champion.
  16. Oh lord, the mud and stuff and crap and rain and mud and everything This is ridiculous and hilarious at the same time
  17. And we're live with Gent - Wevelgem, 230km to go
  18. And that's another Brazilian Rollerski Circuit victory for @brunamoura https://www.fis-ski.com/DB/general/results.html?sectorcode=CC&raceid=36634 Surprisingly close though, Duda Ribera was only 15 seconds behind, that's...new! There was word of her trainings going very well, it's good to see that is indeed the case. Also, strong wind had an effect as well on the race, with Duda and Mika Picin working together to try and chase Bruna, who had opened up the gap on the first uphill and managed to hold on until the finish despite the wind blowing in their faces. As for the men, a breakaway of four sprinted for the win, with young Gu Oliveira being the maybe not very surprising, but definitely new name in the top, very interesting development right there. https://www.fis-ski.com/DB/general/results.html?sectorcode=CC&raceid=36633
  19. McConnell in 2nd from early in lap one...until one meter before the finish
