  1. Ouch, the Thai guy goes down
  2. There was indeed a protest, already well before the final. The protest would be looked at only after the final ( ) but more than likely it will lead to nothing, the athletics federation has already said.
  3. The Japanese was better though (in the 1st round clearly and in the 3rd round as well, albeit a little less clearly).
  4. Have it your way then, I'll just watch the final And am very much looking forward to it, vamos Andrade!
  5. Quite incredible actually that they're still running with those dumb pieces of paper on their bodies. Working on every detail and then you've got those things flapping around and taking away air Same for everyone, of course, but in terms of times.
  6. Damn, these Jamaicans sprinters do not like each other. At all.
  7. Wow, 2nd fastest time in history
  8. I thought at the previous world championships they did this for all the shorter individual events (so not the ones with large fields)?
  9. This was a successful debut for this event I'd say, awesome final.
  10. The text on BBC's guide for today: "Can DAS dash to the first half of a Tokyo sprint double?"
  11. Damn, Pettersson just caught the 155kg Stahl as if it's nothing
  12. Medal for Austria, which means
  13. Did not see this coming from Wang 1993 throwback
  14. Mu super duper easy, first American to really look good in this session.
  15. Nine teams in the mixed 4x400m final by the way, Germany is still in. There's also a protest against the US, but that'll be looked at....
  16. Huh, Femke Bol is on the list for the 4x400m, changed her mind I guess
  17. Ajee Wilson in trouble.
  18. Huh, totally missed Blake running. I thought he wouldn't go because antivax crazy
  19. Yeah, this is the kind of thing I mean which might mean it's not entirely A or B.
  20. I do think it unfortunately plays a part, but I'd really like an actual expert's opinion first, because there are plenty of examples where the rules are not exactly A or B when looking in the actual rulebook. I'm not saying what happened is fair, I'm just saying that there are people who know these things a whole lot better than us, and I'd like to hear what they say about it.
  21. Thanks! Dutch TV has Gregory Sedoc (former hurdler) in the studio I think, who's usually pretty clear about analysing these things as well. I'm curious.
  22. Yeah, this is the kind of analysis I'm not interested in, which is why I'd like to hear what an actual expert says. Someone who's not involved with Nigeria or Great Britain at all and who's also not all "big country so it's just because of the flags!", because that stands in the way from seeing the exact rules and exceptions and differences and all those things.
  23. @Gianlu33 Do you happen to have a commentator who is talking NON-STOP? As in, not shutting up for even two seconds (literally)? I'm watching on Belgian TV and I think I hear an Italian talking in the background coming from the Belgian commentator's microphone, and the dude just does. not. stop. talking
  24. This is a situation in which I'd really like an actual expert's explanation of it. And not on BBC, because for sure they'll say this is correct, but from a non-involved country
