  1. Thompson with a super easy 10.76 Although, easy....she seemed to be breaking hard in the end And Del Ponte to the final, wow! Asher-Smith has got herself a problem.
  2. On a Dutch forum people are saying they're hearing rumours of Andrade doing an Amanar, which would apparently add quite some points to the difficulty score (I know the term, but of course am not familiar with exactly what it is). Also saying that her second sprong then might have a Cheng, whatever that may be, but it sounds difficult. Related to what we will understand on Sunday?
  3. Lost on a penalty. Whatever the whole team did this past week, Tsjaka gave it his all and especially today fought like a madman against the much heavier opponents!
  4. It is not (not because of this particular case of course ).
  5. Yeah no Tsjaka ain't gonna do this against a 13kg heavier guy
  6. That was a pretty easy lift for Maurus, if he'd done 1kg more he would be in bronze position (for now, at least)...
  7. Ouch, Rejepov. Next time they really should send their president.
  8. And both hit their second, we've got ourselves a competition.
  9. Oh oh, Pizzolato, what did you do guy?
  10. Pizzolato increased his opening attempt to 165kg, which is 1kg more than his personal best (which he set in the third attempt at the ECh this year) He is going all-in!
  11. And with this, we've also reached the end of the RS:X era, which has been fairly succesful for the Dutch men and training buddies and close friends Van Rijsselberghe/Badloe On to foiling.
  12. 2. Goyard (FRA) 74 3. Bi (CHI) 75 4. Cohen (ISR) 76 5. Camboni (ITA) 76
  13. Meanwhile there's still a ton of discussion going on about video of the start of the 7th Laser Radial race, which the organization outright refuses to publish (they do of course have it). Bouwmeester got DQ'ed for a false start there, but apparently the actual video footage shows that that's a highly controversial decision.
  14. Although Goyard is still in silver position.
  15. Which also means the gold for Badloe now, since even with a DQ he can't be overtaken anymore.
  16. And the French guy out That's the 2nd, 3rd and 4th place out..
  17. Oh damn, the old and experienced Myszka was in pole position for bronze because of Camboni's mistake....and gets a penalty for a false start himself
  18. Wow, Camboni gave away a medal by making a false start
  19. That seems a little unfair. I've seen several other Brazilians and they were definitely fighting for it. It can be a lack of quality, mistakes being made, bad luck, bad shape or a combination of all that, but that's all something different than not fighting for it and I really doubt they were actually thinking "Ah I'll try but never mind"... Although I do see the same here in the Netherlands, with people saying they barely tried. That's just unfair, even if the performance was far below par, probably nobody is more disappointed than themselves in reality. Because you can bet that they all tried.
  20. I was glad Henk Grol finally managed to did something well here, first by beating the Uzbek after two losses in 24 hours and then by beating - as our commentator put it - 'a building from Brazil' But yeah, overall this has been a rather humiliating performance for the Dutch team. With the quality that exists in the team, there really should have been more than a single bronze (and possibly a second in the team event, but even then). And Altheman, damn. That truly looked awful, I hope she'll be ok and for starters be able to walk normally again.
  21. No but seriously, I can understand the frustration, but on the other hand I do respect the fact that she always fights to the absolute limit. I know most people will disagree, but sometimes I find it more important than the actual results. Step one is always to give everything you've got. And a different question: any word on Altheman's injury? I'd search on Globo or something, but that is so full with spoilers that I don't dare open it
  22. Do y'all also have Renaud Lavillenie in your picks? I'm watching the highlights of the athletics on Dutch NOS, where we heard this beauty: "Menno Vloon competes in pole vault, where the Frenchman Renaud Lavillenie is the big man and the big question is whether he will qualify." Duplantis who?!
  23. How is it going for Blom and Boonzaaijer? I mean, I can check the results, but I have no idea if this is what they were expected to do in dressage, worse or better
