  1. It already happened to me that the 12-points song didn't make the cut. If an Italian likes songs that all other Italians don't there is no way these songs would get points (while this is not true for any other jury looking at recent numbers of participants) - making it more likely that each user's number 1 song will get at least point won't hurt anyone. And the bigger the sample size, the more the sample is representative of the whole population, of course the jury with more members is much more likely to vote for the overall winner.
  2. Here all rosters: http://dal15al25.gazzetta.it/2020/01/04/tutti-gli-uomini-di-berlino/ France is missing Clevenot and Rossard for injury and Boyer who is refusing to play (apparently linked to the fact that he was assaulted by Ngapeth at the EuroVolley).
  3. The intermediate step in calculating the points from multi-members juries should be changed, not really fair that your individual votes are worth nothing if you are from (the one or maybe two) countries with more than 2-3 users. I suggest something like 18-15-12-9-8-... Instead of 12-11-10-9-...
  4. Col = hill (also in Italian), which apparently is the same meaning of Pichl in some form of German.
  5. Some original Ladin surnames before they were Germanized and then partly Italianized- see the difference with their current version: http://www.vejin.com/nomifamiglia.html
  6. What a mess you guys are making... Ladin is official only in Trentino-South Tyrol and is certainly not Judaeo-Spanish/Ladino: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ladin_language https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judaeo-Spanish
  7. Here tradition for Christmas mass is that they prepare a big table where at the end of the celebration they serve everyone hot chocolate with pandoro, panettone, Christmas biscuits, etc. Sadly I was forced many times to eat all that for free only to keep up appearances
  8. https://www.lequipe.fr/Lutte-greco-romaine/Actualites/Zelimkhan-khadjiev-controle-positif/1091986 French wrestler Khadjiev apparently tested positive at the WCh, where he had won bronze and the Olympic quota.
  9. Nothing set up for China. Only 3 seeded athletes entered and they are placed accordingly in the draw. Unless he's injured, Woolley is just dumb and arrogant for not participating.

  11. You are damn right, what does the IOC expect, that the Indian NOC or federation contact an IF or an European one to help them training a couple kids so that they can reach the very low standard? No! They should be allowed to send a total newbie, imagine all the new gifs that could be made of the kid who falls on his ass every two metres! I'm tired of seeing Adrian Solano.
  12. Euro handball is also a useless event, Italians wanted to participate but they have been told that they didn't qualify, that's a disgrace for the competition! I can play handball and I have the right to be in! #BoycottEuroHandball
  13. Sometimes the team's owner is an older woman who may fall in love with younger criminals bad boys

  15. Parents should be more concerned that their kid in fifth grade, 10-11 years old, thought that 5 dollars to buy 2 slaves would be a fair price.
  16. Actually USADA already criticized the decision because they wanted a full ban. I fail to see a more reasonable decision than the one taken today: Russian athletes are in as long as they didn't test positive and got covered by RUSADA. The NOC is banned because Russian authorities failed to cooperate (and actually gave fake data). This is a victory for Russian athletes as long as they are clean.
  17. https://www.wada-ama.org/en/media/news/2019-12/wada-executive-committee-unanimously-endorses-four-year-period-of-non-compliance CRC Chair, Jonathan Taylor QC, said: “Today, the ExCo has delivered a strong and unequivocal decision. While being tough on the authorities, this recommendation avoids punishing the innocent and instead stands up for the rights of clean athletes everywhere. If an athlete from Russia can prove that they were not involved in the institutionalized doping program, that their data were not part of the manipulation, that they were subject to adequate testing prior to the event in question, and that they fulfil any other strict conditions to be determined, they will be allowed to compete. “WADA now has the names of all suspicious athletes in the LIMS database, and thanks to the painstakingly forensic nature of the investigation, this includes the athletes whose data was manipulated or even deleted, including the 145 athletes within WADA’s target group of most suspicious athletes but also others beyond that target group. While I understand the calls for a blanket ban on all Russian athletes whether or not they are implicated by the data, it was the unanimous view of the CRC, which includes an athlete, that in this case, those who could prove their innocence should not be punished, and I am pleased that the WADA ExCo agreed with this.”
  18. Exactly the opposite (as I told you before, maybe my English is so bad that nobody can understand): the Russian tried to manipulate their data, but WADA now has the names of all athletes involved, even those whose data was manipulated and deleted. Those athletes will not start in Tokyo, the rest will.
  19. I wouldn't trust the IAAF at all...for example we know that Darya Klishina was involved by Mclaren as having at least 3 positive/manipulated tests but they let her compete for years because she lived in the USA. But WADA now stated that they know the names of all athletes with positive, manipulated or deleted tests in the LIMS database so the decision will be easy: if Lasitskene does not appear among them, she will be in Tokyo.
  20. no, it's the last tournament valid for the olympic ranking. Top 5 in the ranking will qualify (with a chance for the 6th depending on the result of the Grand Slam later this month)
  21. Tbh it seems anything but stupid especially at a young age and if the guy has done a proper research I don't get why they shouldn't discuss about it.
  22. Millionaires (or better, billionaires) controlling a lot of businesses are those who profit the most from being involved in politics, it's very naive to think that they are not in for the money, and Trump is no exception. And only his fanboys could say that he's honest about himself, he's a world class liar ffs.
  23. And yet the most ridiculous displays of race walking that I remember are organized in GB, with British people cheering on the stands while their home hero "walks".
  24. So people are writing about marathon athletes qualified for Tokyo 2020, then a newbie registers and immediately finds a way to start their campaign against Semenya and others who have nothing to do with marathon and Tokyo 2020.
