Panic everywhere as there might be a case in the municipality here or a neighboring one. Just a matter of time until some mad old guy who is now limited to watch the tv all day takes his shotgun and tries to kill everyone who sneezes

Who seeks finds, who doesn't seek can live on and barely notices any difference.

4 time olympic gold medalists in one individual event?
Dunadan replied to Faris's topic in Totallympics Mixed Zone
Methinks yes, and even more for Ainslie, at best you can consider it in the "same" event if an event is replaced by another one, which is not the case here. -

In the same event? If you managed to find five at least one of them is wrong -
Boxing IOC Asian & Oceanian Olympic Games Qualifier 2020
Dunadan replied to Totallympics's topic in Boxing
There is a ranking, points are given for last 2 World Championships and the last Continental Games- but for Asia they considered the Asian Championships, the Asian Games do not count because not all weight categories were present. First 4 boxers are seeded, the rest are drawn. -

any info on how many people have been tested?

Not if Shiffrin comes back...and after all Crans Montana and La Thuile were not in her schedule even before her father's death.

Women's alpine combined cancelled for too much snow.

A very rare double gold actually, there was a tie between Karl and Felicetti in the final!

This is a funny virus, it infects people based on their nationality so all those Germans and others who were surrounded by infected Italians just a week ago are safe.

The FIE is not giving up - the date is confirmed and the stage relocated to Luxembourg.

What a disaster...dumb Sun Yang, should have simply run away like a lot of his smarter colleagues. To be noticed: CAS stated the results achieved by the Athlete in the period prior to the CAS award being issued should not be disqualified. pdf of CAS media release https://www.tas-cas.org/fileadmin/user_upload/CAS_Media_Release_6148_decision.pdf

Meanwhile as expected CAS annulled Filippo Magnini's 4 year ban - it turns out that some sort of evidence is needed to ban an athlete...

Cases per region and province: https://lab24.ilsole24ore.com/coronavirus/ 3 from the province of Sondrio, only that one from Valdidentro with symptoms, all of them were studying in Codogno (Lodi) in the same school - https://www.sondriotoday.it/cronaca/coronavirus-gordona-contagio-montagna-valtellina-codogno.html

So in Italy they had done 8600 tests until one day and a half ago with positive rate of about 3,7 % by my count. In UK they had already done 6536 tests on 24 February - as of today 15 cases, so very few positives In France, where they found the first positive before Italy, 17 positives and 566 negatives (link , that's about 3% but not many tests and a very different approach compared to Italy and UK - so it looks like the French are smarter and won't admit that they're fucked unless it's strictly necessary).
-
It would be interesting to know the positive tests / total tests ratio per country in Europe but apparently no one has collected the data in one place...

Table Tennis Qualification to Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympic Games

What's Zaza's date of birth? I can't find it. -
I believe the virus has already spread (even to those countries which are turning a blind eye to it) and we'll have to live with it. This partial shutdown is not sustainable for long, let alone a stronger one.

World Champs give double points for the Olympic ranking. I copy-paste from a previous post for more details: Looks like they decided to double the World Championships points for the Olympic Ranking: https://www.uci.org/docs/default-source/official-documents/tokyo-2020---olympic-games/olympic-rankings_track_final_en_as-of-26-11-18.pdf?sfvrsn=be99ad8b_16 -

Day 1. Region and municipalities have ordered to shut down everything except some private businesses. Internet landlines are barely working for unknown reasons, impossible to work properly. Supermarkets have been raided already. I have donned my golden armor to defend my bottled water from thieves and infected zombies.

Guys, individual qualification is not over yet, still one GP to go. P. S. next men's Sabre World Cup is scheduled in 2 weeks in Padua, but it looks like authorities are cancelling all sports events in the region until 1 March at least
-
For individual no quota is mathematically decided but let's say that it's basically certain that: - (name tbd) and one between (name tbd) will get the Asian spots; - Toldo will get the PanAm spot; - (most likely Samandi) will get the African spot; -two out of Mepstead Llavador Choupenitch Siess will get the European spot, with GBR and ESP big favourites
