I'm a little behind in terms of watching (an hour or so), but wow, Ekaterina Poistogova is back :yikes:

Or well, that's what I remember her as from the years where she was constantly named in the beginning's of the unravelling of Russia's state-sponsored program that eventually lead to Russian athletes being kicked out of sports thanks to their own government. Apparently she married Ramil Guliyev and competes for Turkey now.

Yeah, :RUS Ekaterina Poistogova is  :TUR Ekaterina Guliyev now :p I wonder if BBC has noticed that and are bitching about it?

Ah, apparently there was a technical issue during Krizsan's jump, after which Dokter was cleared to jump. They were however still fixing the issue, leading to there not being a photo of Dokter's take-off, so they couldn't allow her result. It seems they were both allowed another attempt, as they should, but during Krizsan's new attempt another technical issue appeared (but this time the photo showed she was over the line anyway). Dokter wasn't shown anymore, uncertain whether or not she jumped again. That's a real shame though, that seemingly legal jump - just with an unfortunate organizational error - seemed to be at least half a meter better than what she now has as result, that's a ton of points :(

Well, there wouldn't be any issue if there was a plaster board and a man with a flag. Obvious evidence that technology is also prone for errors.

With that injury, long jump might be a problem. She really looked like she was in pain.

She skipped the TVP Sport interview and it's still uncertain she will actually start tomorrow. It is a hamstring injury.

Stefanidi, Sutej and Murto are the three women left in pole vault.

He did collide with Manga 2nd & third hurdle: don’t know who was to blame. Put in a protest & get a free re-run is my advice to Polish coaches.     Plenty time to the final.

In his interview he said he simply clipped the second hurdle and it twisted him to the left and that was that. There will be no appeal.
