  1. In case anyone is interested, Trump's briefing has started and so far - again - all he does is senseless rambling on about how it's almost over. Again he is not even able to formulate normal sentences. If your grandpa was talking this way, you'd be very worried.
  2. "This was heywoodu. The Netherlands. Totallympics."
  3. For example in the Netherlands, the official numbers can be found on this website and the daily news update includes this paragraph at the end:
  4. Yet, until this is far behind us and they can say how much damage the incredibly tight precautions and restrictions have caused. Those restrictions are much less tight here and still there's already a boatload of people losing their jobs and stuff like that.
  5. Oh and American news channels having almost literally non-stop BREAKING NEWS I know Americans fap their brains out on 'BREAKING NEWS' and all-caps headlines and stuff, but it's just not 'breaking' if it goes on forever
  6. What kind of measures did Slovakia not take yet?
  7. I'm also getting tired of people saying "he has Corona" and stuff like that. SARS-CoV-2 is a coronavirus, Corona is a beer, COVID-19 is a disease. It's like people confusing HIV and AIDS. Media made a big mistake early on And the thread title should either be something like "Coronavirus pandemic" or "COVID-19 pandemic", but not "COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic"
  8. Once this is over, I hope we'll never ever hear 'social distancing' again. I am getting so freaking tired of those two words
  9. Yeah, we'll have the closing ceremony....and then only a few months to wait for new Olympics
  10. Why did the thread title suddenly change to incorrectly suggest COVID-19 is the virus that causes the pandemic? Can't we at least keep the thread title fact-only?
  11. I don't think Norway plays as much of a role as they think they do in an Olympics without snow
  12. Please tell me you're not one of those weird people I recently discovered exist, who watch anime episodes on double the speed "because I don't really like this one so much but then I can check it off as watched"?
  13. You still want to remain roommates after this?
  14. Is there no way to go by regular car? I know going to Rio is still (or again) possible that way, at least yesterday it was. I believe there are signs banning bigger vehicles though (like buses)? Edit: I guess if you're actually moving there it might be a bit of an (impossible) challenge to go with only a regular car..
  15. Honestly I think it would be nicer if everyone who wants to vote can simply send their votes to someone, without any restrictions on which nation they're from
  16. It depends entirely on where you live. If you were a Dutch biathlete, you could still absolutely put on your rollerskis and go for a long ride, but in other countries even that is sadly not allowed.
  17. But we never call Matt Matt here so I'm sure Matt won't mind if we call Matej Matt, right Matt?
  18. Spain is going to whipe Italy's numbers away soon..
  19. Religious people Oh and RIP Utah.
  20. Oh my, this sounds as horrible as horrible is going to get in terms of comics Super heroes Snowflake and Safespace for fuck's sake
  21. Oh damn. I hope you then went to check if you've got it all ready, since the show begins in 35 minutes?
  22. Chardine Sloof of all places won two world junior gold medals, they don't really mean that much
  23. Yeah it's hard to think about what is the more dangerous situation: cultures where old people live mostly on their own or together with other old people (like nursing homes, or other forms of living maybe with some assistance), against cultures where old people often live with their younger relatives. In the case where they live with younger relatives, those relatives can more easily help them out getting their food and drinks and so on, so that's good, but those people can also more easily pass it on to them because they go outside for supplies more often, so that's bad..
