  1. So does delivery still work? If not, how do you get your food?
  2. To be fair, they usually do announce retirements and major injuries and stuff like that, also when it's about much less high-profile athletes than Nilsson. This would still be normal even if there was stuff to cover
  3. And other flowers. Sadly nobody wants to buy them for at least the very low minimum price that has been set at the big auction houses, meaning they have to be destroyed - pretty much throwing a large part of the livelihood of people in this industry down the drain. People who sell flowers on markets and such, so on a way smaller scale than the huge auctions, often decide to give them away to the elderly for example these days, but for those big operations around the auctions that's just not a feasible thing to do.
  4. I never got those Game of Thrones episodes when I watched them, because Game of Thrones was only something I had very vaguely heard of and then it's just a lot less fun Now I've watched all of GoT so I might rewatch them.
  5. @thiago_simoes @vinipereira How's it going in the places you live? I'm hearing from your fellow Totallympian from Caraguatatuba that they are pretty much outright refusing to test people there unless they fit absolutely 100% of all possible criteria (and not even then, in some cases). Basically, people are getting sick, yet not even being tested if they fit the criteria, and then sent home..
  6. "What if vaccines made my friend Timmy the way he is? Or if they made my friend Jimmy the way he is? Or my friend Token the way he is?"
  7. I like watching some short videos or something, but not entire events...then I just get bored
  8. Plus it's always good to go back to the seasons when they really didn't give two fucks and just insulted everyone, that was so much better. Although luckily they still do that somewhat.
  9. That is madness. Especially because these are places where they are probably telling you "don't worry, everything is removed" once it's over, but they're perfectly using it to track citizens even more..
  10. That reminds me, I'm only at episode three of season 23 so I've got quite a few episodes to watch, thanks!
  11. I have not much problems with Andersson getting chances, although she's not a Högberg
  12. But man Högberg deserves it.
  13. My only reason at being a little sad about this move, although let's be fair: Nilsson will definitely have to learn a lot in terms of shooting first.
  14. Thanks one tenth of a crore for the explanation.
  15. Wait, whaaaat? Seriously, what? That is huge! That is so huge I had to check three times to see if it's not 1 April already!
  16. I don't want to sound insensitive, but what?
  17. She might not have been paying very much attention most likely, because it was absolutely mentioned quite a lot before 29 February or so Oh well, we'll see how it goes. Good chance the countries with the tighest regulations right now are the ones in the biggest trouble in a few months..(of course I hope the experts are wrong about that and no other country will get hit hard..)
  18. Funny how things are different, I would so much rather be here than there (or in Belgium, where also everything is basically closed down and one is basically not allowed to go outside), but I can definitely understand wanting to go to your home country This story reminds me of some Dutch tourists I heard about in the Philipines, who were travelling around and they were there when the shit hit the fan. They happened to be close to a private island tourists can rent (for quite a high price), with every luxury you can wish for and good meals being cooked by the local chef and so on. No tourists were there because of this....so they were offered a stay there for maybe 5% of the normal price, only a few euros per week
  19. Definitely not. Anyway I hope total lockdowns stay far away from here, it's really the last thing we need to try and fight this. I don't think we've seen total lockdowns anywhere yet btw, or maybe Wuhan? I missed whether or not literally everything (including supermarkets) is closed in Lombard.,
  20. About time. WHO's Mike Ryan has come out as critical towards countries with tight lockdowns, saying the thing experts have been saying for a while now: "Lockdowns are not going to beat the virus. The danger of lockdowns comes when the precautions are being lifted and the virus can come back." https://www.nu.nl/coronavirus/6039417/wereldgezondheidsorganisatie-lockdowns-verslaan-het-virus-niet.html#coral_talk_wrapper About a vaccine: "That's going to take at least a year, although good steps have been made recently."
  21. I wish they'd sent it by SMS here. That way you'd get it and see it and get your regular phone notification, instead of the emergency message which makes your phone all of a sudden nearly blow up on full volume as if an air siren is blowing straight into your ear. The way they do it is exactly why I turned it off now, I wouldn't if they did it with less of an intrusive (especially in terms of sound) way.
