  1. Of course Rules don't count here for people who live together, since - I quote - "last time we checked, someone's house is still private space". If you live in a family with three kids for example, you're of course still allowed to go and take a walk or something, as long as you maintain proper distance from other people. Since both getting fresh air and at least stay moving are both vital parts of one's general health, quite a lot of people are doing so and luckily most people do keep their distance. About inviting people into your house, the quote was: "The advice is not more than three people at the same time, and only if you can manage to keep 1,5 meters of distance between each other."
  2. Yes, but we all know the US judicial system is pretty sucky. It's either overreacting enormously or way underreacting
  3. What's the biggest non-family groups still allowed in your countries? Here no more than three people, obviously everyone has to keep 1,5 meters of distance.
  4. We entirely agree it's not appropriate, obviously. As the article says, Lim's own lawyer says if that happens he should have either pulled it right back up and at the very least apologized. The bigger issue is that he harrassed the guy afterwards, verbally. I think a temporary ban is deserved, a year in prison is just too much. But we can all argue all we want, we won't agree on it
  5. Slovakia, Czech Republic and Austria - among others - have not closed their sea borders yet? I am shocked. Shocked, I tell you!
  6. Small correction on Turkey: apparently Güler and their head coach did test positive, but media seems to be wrong in saying two boxers tested positive. The federation does say (if Google translates well enough) two more boxers are being tested, but their results haven't come back yet and so they haven't named them yet. http://www.turkboks.gov.tr/bilgilendirme.aspx
  7. We are now the 7th country to see 1000+ new cases in one day. Authorities are 'carefully optimistic' though, because apparently there is a slow (slow!) decrease in the number of new people being admitted to hospitals.
  8. Two Turkish boxers and their head coach have the new coronavirus as well, none of them fought against a Croatian. Good luck to more opponents. Serhat Güler has been named (75kg), who fought against Mikhael Ostroumov of Israel. Has the Croatian been named @dcro?
  9. And there goes the very last international thing still ging on.
  10. About testing in the Netherlands: it's still very limited due to very limited resources. They're especially in need of a certain kind of liquid used for the tests. Laboratories can quite easily create this mix if they have the 'recipe', but the Swiss manufacturer of the testing machines (pharmaceutical giant Roche) is refusing to share said recipe and can't deliver enough. They can't use those of different manufacturers, because when using machines and equipment of manufacturer A, you need the other stuff of manufacturer A as well.
  11. Thanks, and do you have a link or something I can mention as source on a Dutch website? (it's fine if it's in Chinese or Korean or whatnot)
  12. Prison for a bad joke, jesus. One year imprisonment after two years' probation, how much time will he actually serve? One year or a year minus the time already spent or something?
  13. It is officially entered anywhere?
  14. I wonder how surprised we should be with that in an age where there apparently are still tons of people thinking rhino horn powder gives you bigger erections.
  15. If it's in China, my hopes would be significantly higher than basically anywhere else in the world.
  16. Exactly why people should follow doctor's orders.
  17. I find it fascinating how it's apparently seen as something good when American politicians (no matter which side) put words in the mouths of others who didn't actually say those words.
  18. That is not as ridiculous as people make it sound. If you've got an absolute emergency situation, and you are in desperate need of a medicine...and there are hundreds (and soon maybe thousands) of people basically just waiting to die, it is at some point not entirely impossible to understand testing these medicines on people for whom there is basically no hope already anymore. It doesn't make it any less sad, but there could well be a scenario where that is pretty much the only option left - apart from waiting for a way, way longer time and by doing so losing thousands and thousands of more people.
  19. Yeah, a little disclaimer should be (as the experts also say) to only take stuff like this on doctor's advice, like most medicines. It's not by definition a dangerous drug, but if you're not a trained professional you might just not know what you're doing.
  20. They might have taken or done something wrong, because this chloroquine is something of which quite some experts have already said it might not specifically help cure COVID-19, but it's a medicine with a pretty good safety record. There are of course others with way more side effects and worse results.
  21. It is just bizarre how all over the world, most leaders are talking about how to contain things, fight things and so on....while Trump spends almost literally 80% of his time talking about how he and his government are doing this and that better than anyone else. - We've tested far more than anyone else - We've approved medicines in record time - Thanks to me, NATO is paying us hundreds of billions of dollars (no idea what it's got to do with the pandemic, but sure) And so on.
  22. @bestmen, get off of @rybak's account
  23. All this talk about social distancing, pretty much the number one thing to fight this crap, and meanwhile Trump and his cronies (plus dr Fauci, who actually does know what he talks about) are giving live press conferences while standing not even a meter away from each other Every head of state/government figure who is giving press moments or statements or whatever right next to other people - and not 1,5-2 meters distance between them - is out.
  24. Who won? And on-topic: still the climbing OQT from Toulouse, I've arrived at the women's final. It all feels a tiny bit pointless, although not so much as the men's final (where every competing climber was either already qualified or already sure of not qualifying due to 2-per-nation rules ).
