  1. Belarus is likely going to win the gold easily, after them I would say that Slovenia and Poland are looking the strongest based on the SFs. It's going to be a really close race for the last few quota places.
  2. Finalists Men's C2 500m - Women's C1 500m - Men's K1 500m - Women's K2 500m - A WK2 500m final without Hungary and Germany... now that's something I would have never guessed.
  3. Yikes. We can still get the 6 quotas with K4, K1 500 and K1 200, but it won't be easy.
  4. But the men still have 1000m in K1, K2, C1, and C2, not 500m, so why does gender equality only matter in K4?
  5. Why did that change happen? Was it because they wanted the compensate the sprinters with a shorter K4 after IOC took K2 200m out of the program?
  6. Finalists Women's K2 200m - Men's C2 200m - Men's K4 1000m -
  7. Hm... well, let's hope that the NOCs won't win more than 6-6 athlete quotas in kayak.
  8. Well, we know that there will be 170 athlete quotas available at this WCh. And we will know by the end of September how the reallocation of the unused quotas went if some NOCs win too many quotas in kayak.
  9. lol, you at least won a medal. We didn't even reach the K4 final for the first time ever in the history of the Olympics, which was one of our lowest points in Rio for the whole Hungarian Olympic team.
  10. You would be still able to qualify 4 athletes in the European qualifiers and the World Cup. I mean, Germany failed to qualify in K4 in 2015, but managed to get 5 athlete quotas anyway and won the K4 gold in Rio. Plus there's also a chance that one (or two?) more K4 boats will qualify with the reallocation.
  11. Do the times at the Junior World Championships count for the Olympic qualification?
  12. Wow, Hungarian gold medal and OQT in Men's 400 m freestyle! And also a OQT (and silver) for Australia.
  13. Zombori Gábor aranyat nyert 400m gyorsúszásban a junior VB-n.

  15. Damn, she was by far our strongest rival in women's canoe. This means that we are now the favorites in Women's C2.
  16. We finally have a provisional start list: https://szeged2019.hu/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/2019_WCH_Pre_sprint_startlist.pdf
  17. Yeah, there are two possible distributions in that case: K4 + K2 or K4 + K1 1000 + K1 200. Don't ask me what we would choose, because it doesn't really matter for us, I think? Either way, those 6 athletes will compete in all events, with 2 boats in K1 and K2 and 1 boat in K4.
  18. btw, the submission deadline for crew changes is at 1pm tomorrow, so we will probably get the start lists after that.
  19. Yep, 12 (6+6) in kayak, 6 (3+3) in canoe. And I still can't find the entry list anywhere on the Hungarian sites. I guess we will get the start lists tomorrow.
  20. Berki Krisztián a szombathelyi VK-n fog visszatérni: http://www.nemzetisport.hu/egyeb_egyeni/torna-az-olimpiai-kvota-remenyeben-ter-vissza-berki-2716869
  21. I doubt that there's an official entry list. I mean, if the Hungarian Canoe Federation's results site doesn't have it... https://results.kajakkenusport.hu/faces/pages/verseny.xhtml?versenyid=58 My guess is that we won't have one until the weekend, or maybe we will only get the start lists one or two days before the races start.
  22. Yeah, it's strange how you have sacrificed a K2 quota like that. Meanwhile we decided to not have Kozák in our women's K4 boat, because it's much more important for us to get all 18 athlete quotas in Szeged than to win gold medals. The fact that we can have two boats in the C1, K1 and K2 events makes it very important for us to send the largest team possible.
  23. But you can be represented in the other Men's K events if you get a quota in K4? The 4 athletes you qualify with the K4 quota can also compete in K2 and K1 events (with max. two boats per event).
