Neugebauer's run up is horrifically bad, how is he getting over 2.04m with it???

Apparently he doesn't train this event because he thinks that he is "too heavy" and doesn't want to risk an injury. With his jumping ability he surely could get to around 2.10 m if he would train for it.

:GER Disappear like Hansel & Gretel in a forest.

Funny, considering that they had a guy named "Wolf" in the team ...

Why did Kaul :GER retire after clearing 2.02m ? Did he get injured or was it tactical? He certainly could clear 2.05m.

Got injured during the long jump (left hip). I think he will retire. At the 2021 olympics he was going for a medal and then also got injured during the high jump. Usually decathles peak in their late twenties, but apparently Kaul peaked as a 21 year old.

:POL had horrendous changes but still beat :GER for the FL spot

Congrats, but not surprising, given that Germany has a bunch of no-names + Lückenkemper. Germany absolutely didn't deserve to make the final with this pathetic line-up.
