  1. I feel the same way about judo. Although for me, if any Canadians advance to the repechage stages or further (highly likely) I’ll probably watch their bouts. Of course it also depends on what else is on
  2. Also the Cross-Country Championships, and the She Believes Cup (football, only for pre-Olympic purposes however) Can’t believe I forgot about either
  3. Slightly less busy schedule than usual (mind you still a lot) with Curling (Men’s World Championships), Tennis (Miami Open), NHL (all Canucks games), club season volleyball, and Swimming (British Olympic Trials), Fencing (Pan American Olympic Qualifier, Hockey (Women’s World Championships, and any random athletics meets that I come across. I’ll also be following along with results in Beach Volleyball (Saquarema Challenge), Badminton (Madrid Masters), Weightlifting (Grand Prix Phuket, aka the final event to add points towards your Olympic Ranking), Shooting (Pan American Rifle & Pistol Championships), Track Cycling (Pan American Championships), Judo (Grand Slam Antalya), and Table Tennis (WTT Champions Incheon)
  4. In judo, Jessica Klimkait has won bronze medals at the last two World Championships in women’s 57kg, and is #2 in the OQR (approximately 2700 points ahead of #3 Gjakova) but due to the one judoka per NOC rule there’s a possibility that she might not even qualify. Right now, she’s in a fierce internal selection battle with Christa Deguchi, who’s the reigning World Champion, and current #1 in the OQR (approximately 1500 points ahead of #2 Klimkait) Judo Canada has yet to select their athlete though, so they could still pick Klimkait over Deguchi. Judo Canada Olympic Selection Criteria Highest Finish at 2022 Worlds (1 pt) - Klimkait Highest Finish at 2023 Worlds (2 pts) - Deguchi Highest Finish at 2024 Worlds (2 pts) - TBD Olympic Ranking (2 pts) - likely will be Deguchi
  5. rising star Leo Neugebauer starts off his season with a 8708 pts decathlon at the Texas Relays!

  13. Just took a look at Cavanaugh’s instagram post, the reason for her retirement was because in recent months it had become obvious to her that she didn’t like/had a lack of motivation for boxing.
  14. You are right. I was kind of in a rush to complete it, so I’m not surprised that I made some mistakes. Thanks!

  18. 58.92m for her 5th result over 58m! Likely will need to consistently be among the 58-60m range in order to qualify. Wonder why her most recent results aren’t showing up on the Road To Paris site though, maybe they just haven’t updated it yet?
  19. Only now just saw this. I believe that would mean Lithuania’s spot would go to the next highest ranked unqualified nation as of the November 1, 2023 rankings. Not sure on who it’d be though.
  20. has selected their Olympic team. https://syndication.bleacherreport.com/amp/10114455-jimmer-fredette-headlines-team-usas-3x3-mens-basketball-team-for-2024-olympics.amp.html It’ll likely be them against Serbia again for the gold medal, but I wouldn’t count out other countries as well.

Shame the only option for streaming the event is PPV, which means I probably won’t be watching it
  22. 4th and 5th for Amelia Pelchat and reigning Youth Olympic silver medallist Eli Bouchard in women’s and men’s slopestyle. Disappointing result for Bouchard, encouraging result for Pelchat.
