Petrucio Ferreira wins the men's 100m T47 with a time of 10.34 

Just a few weeks ago, the winning time for the men's 100m at the Pan American Games was 10.30 (different weather conditions, of course).

WR #6 Canada qualify for the Paralympics. WR #3 Brazil, and WR #5 United States both miss out, as this was the final qualification opportunity for the Pan Americas. 

Surprising since is the current Paralympics silver medalist. Blame it on IBSA for reducing team quotas from 10 to 8 to allow for more categories in Judo.

It wouldn't be a multi-sport game if there wasn't a marriage proposal 

Wheelchair Rugby medal winners

USA gets the Paralympic quota. Canada, Brazil and Colombia will have another chance at the 2024 Qualification Tournament (Canada is the favourite).

Nice to see Brazil winning its first ever Parapan American Games medal after losing many times to Colombia.

Winter Paralympians and world medalists in cross-country skiing, Aline Rocha and Cristian Ribera are now Parapan American Games medalists 

Despite winning multiple medals in Track, Brazil has no tradition in wheelchair events, so good move bringing them to the Games.

Normally I would be okay with this, but the African qualifier hasn’t happened yet, and Egypt securing a berth here has effectively freed up a spot for a mediocre African team (either Rwanda or Algeria)

If  wins the African qualifier, then they will get that quota and the World Cup spot goes to .
