  1. And we're underway
  2. It's in the rules in this thread and the thread where you should post your team There's a list of biathletes who all have X points. The best biathletes are more 'expensive' than the rest. You've got a total of 160 points you can spend on a total of ten biathletes, five men and five women, with only one man and one woman per country allowed.
  3. 10th place for sprinter Svahn is rather impressive.
  4. Yesterday only winter sports in the evening, because work. Today is going to be full Bobsleigh, skeleton (yesterday's race), luge, nordic combined, cross-country, ski jumping, biathlon, speed skating, F2, F1, climbing, boxing. Other than the skeleton it'll be the exact same thing tomorrow Already watched yesterday's alpine skiing.
  5. Johaug wins it after all by 20+ seconds. Sorina got close, 3rd place all the time except for the finish.
  6. Jerjej Kruder finishing 8th in speed but then 13th and 14th in boulder and lead in this field...that is some disappointment
  7. That really depends on the situation It might not be that easy to significantly increase your income when you're 25+ and didn't really learn a lot of non-sports stuff due to always focusing on your career, and the jobs you could do might only make for a small income increase but a big decrease in enjoying what you're doing. Surely if they didn't enjoy what they did and saw the option to do something better, they'd do so
  8. My professional IT skills solved the problem already.
  9. Is the stream stuck with a shot of Gufler coming out of a turn there too?
  10. Probably a combination of doing what they love and fighting to keep an income
  11. Condoms do have a head start since tens of thousands of them are going to be grabbed to be taken home
  12. Tim Singer and luge
  13. Does this mean everyone you tagged has a point total over 160, surely not (since I'm fairly sure mine ended up with either 159 or 160)? If it's indeed not the case, wouldn't it be wise to specifically mention those who actually need to change their teams?
  14. For a moment there I thought Ilves was going to get a podium in a big field this time, but nope. Too bad Still a nice first competition of the season. Sure, Riiber won, but Lamparter did give him a run for his money and after last season, that counts
  15. [hide] Nation Captains NOR JT Bø NOR M Olsbu Røiseland Nation Women SWE H Öberg CZE M Davidova RUS E Pavlova SUI L Häcki Nation Men SWE S Samuelsson AUT J Eberhard GER B Doll SUI B Weger [/hide]
  16. I wouldn't expect 20+ people in this game simply because it requires more effort than just filling in X points for this or that team But I'm definitely in
  17. Yeah, I always find it hard when people switch nationality or are allowed to do so without being able to speak at least enough of the language to not depend on any outside help. But that's a whole different non-sports discussion +1 for Kuzmina indeed
  18. Geisenberger and Eitberger together in the Nations Cup, didn't think I'd live to see the day (yeah I know of course they didn't compete last season)
  19. Romania missing is a little surprising, I'm sure they were in those Swedish races last week or so? Ah, COVID. Not at all surprised by Greece, I believe Angelis is usually there, but Serbia is interesting.
  20. Also, don't forget to pick your team for the contest here everyone!
  21. Yep, always right after the Team Captain's Meeting (where the draw is done), which is usually held roughly between 17:00 and 19:00 local time. They do the draw at the TCM and once the TCM is finished, the lists are published rather quickly. Usually there is a PDF for the allocation of the shooting range for trainings a day earlier, which is usually mostly interesting in the IBU Cup to see if there's any new or rare nation participating
  22. Wow, a false start in either of the two runs means you're whole qualifying result doesn't count? What kind of stupidity is that? I know a false start = out in KO, but if you've had a time in run one and then a false start in run two, what on earth is the reasoning behind cancelling the time you already set?
  23. Where can I find those handy PDF's with results? The IFSC website does have a sort of results page, but it also functions as a live standings page, without saying whether or not the competition is finished yet, so that's not very useful
