  1. Robin Haase's former coach, who got arrested on an airport while they travelled back from a tournament, has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for the murder of a prominent businessman. This was the last appeal possibility, so bye. https://www.omroepwest.nl/nieuws/4050632/Moordende-tenniscoach-verliest-zaak-bij-Hoge-Raad-20-jaar-cel-definitief
  2. Oh Great Britain might be the world's number one in one-sided coverage. Just look at what BBC shits out on our TV's during things like Olympics or world championships. That 'Niger! Niger!' moment was one of my all-time favourite Olympic moments
  3. To be fair, I don't think anyone wants to be in a situation where it has to be postponed, but choices like that aren't really a luxury they often have these days..skiers can be angry and disappointment all they want (and rightly so), the national sports federations aren't the ones said disappointments should be aimed at in this case.
  4. I think I have quite a lot of stuff still to see of which I don't know the results yet, probably I'd just end up watching that (two years worth of MMA mainly) If watching some replays of multi-sports events, for me it'd be about Olympics, probably 2012 or 2008 - Olympics that I have actually watched, but aren't so close anymore to still remember most things. A more useful/normal time of life is about to start though (you know, work and such), so I'm probably not gonna have a whole lot of time to spend 1-2 hours a day watching things I've already seen
  5. Oh and because of the caution and overtime, the race ended up being 405 laps, making it the longest ever NASCAR race with 977 kilometers, 7km (three laps) longer than the 2011 race that previously held the record.
  6. Elliott and his crew chief have some talking to do, that was not the smartest pit stop ever.
  7. I can imagine how some people find that a problem, personally I don't I really don't care much whether or not they have them in 2022. If they do, I'll gladly watch, if they don't, so be it.
  8. But what exactly is the problem of having the world championships in 2022 after the Olympics? Other than 'that isn't what we're used to'.
  9. It might be better to accept that now, than to keep cancelling/postponing stuff relatively shortly beforehand..
  10. It might be helpful to try and play some of this stuff against/with each other every now and then to get used to it, and see if in the future it's possible to turn it into a Games-like event. It's quite hard to have an event with a whole host of games which are 99% entirely new to pretty much everyone, instead of taking it step by step. I'd definitely be up for a couple of games, be it one on one or with a couple of other people.
  11. I wouldn't really say there's a lack of interest, it's more of a lack of inspiration At least from my side
  12. Possibly, but alpine skiing isn't a sport where you very often see people skipping this and that event other than because of injuries and stuff like that. If they could fit the world championships somewhere in January or March, I doubt there will be much difference compared to other years.
  13. One would assume either before or after the Olympics. There is quite literally 0% chance their plan is to move it to exactly the relatively short period in which the Olympics are held.
  14. What exactly would the issue be? I'm fairly certain they won't plan it exactly during the Olympics
  15. Jamie Little's umbrella is the first deadly victim of the day, thank you Clint Bowyer
  16. And now it's raining, this is gonna end up being a morning thing
  17. Cheering for fun teams, and Ajax kicking out those boring old teams like Real Madrid that are winning always anyway two seasons (?) ago was a hell of a lot of fun
  18. Almost 400 of 400 laps still to go and Hamlin is already 6 laps behind due to a mechanical issue before the start...he just got on the track. I'd go and fire up the BBQ, screw that.
  19. Too bad a year later the Juventus aliens and some....extra help followed And two and a half decades later that damn Moura
  20. Why are famous people.....like this? Did the virus eat up her brain?
