  1. I'd first go for a first ever Olympic athletics medal in Rio, which should of course be absolutely realistic
  2. http://www.european-athletics.org/competitions/european-athletics-championships/2016/medals/
  3. Leave your hotel room, warm-up, make one jump and qualify, go back to your hotel room, sleep.
  4. You mean the first place in the medal table?
  5. How is "I run clean" different than saying she is clean?
  6. I believe she's clean now
  7. Oh yeah, I know his Twitter account and it's very very useful, I just meant I couldn't find anything about Aras Kaya
  8. Aras Kaya? Google finds nothing
  9. Oh yeah, De Gendt is the other Belgian in there...I'm cheering for him too being an always attacking rider
  10. True I'm hoping for Van Avermaet
  11. What would you think as a big surprise?
  12. Enrico Lacruz has been selected for the Olympics after all http://nos.nl/artikel/2115771-bokser-lacruz-alsnog-naar-olympische-spelen.html Not exactly fair to many other Dutch athletes, but alright...
  13. As you know I'm not an expert, but in wrestling basically every Iranian that participates at least has something of a medal chance right? I mean, obviously not everyone is the main favourite, but they're all at least in the top-10 favourites in their weight classes aren't they?
  14. http://www.prosport.ro/alte-sporturi/jo-2016/exclusiv-catalina-ponor-va-fi-portdrapelul-romaniei-la-rio-halep-si-neagu-erau-creditate-cu-cele-mai-mari-sanse-reactia-lui-alexandru-dedu-15518645 Does this say they're trying to find a way for both to be in the Olympics? Or at least tried?
  15. Netherlands women's team: Naomi van As (Laren), Willemijn Bos (Laren), Carlien Dirkse van den Heuvel (SCHC), Margot van Geffen (Den Bosch), Eva de Goede (Amsterdam), Ellen Hoog (Amsterdam), Kelly Jonker (Amsterdam), Marloes Keetels (Den Bosch), Laurien Leurink (Laren), Caia van Maasakker (SCHC), Kitty van Male (Amsterdam), Maartje Paumen (Den Bosch), Joyce Sombroek (Laren), Maria Verschoor (Amsterdam), Xan de Waard (SCHC), Lidewij Welten (Den Bosch).
  16. It's always bad to see Kilty win a heat/race/whatever, sad start for the 100m. Not because he's British, but because I'm not a particular fan of athletes going on Twitter and calling athletics fans "cockroaches" (and a ton of other, worse stuff, including wishing them seriously bad stuff) when they make a tiny comment about him saying Zharnel Hughes should never be allowed to compete for GBR and that Hughes competing for GBR is a disgrace.
  17. Now I'm worried about Gayane Chiloyan
  18. As far as I know almost everything is at the Olympic Stadium and javelin (and discus?) are at the Museumplein
  19. Probably...I saw it last year as well in a championship/big meet, but I forgot where it was. It's so hypocritical and annoying.
  20. By the way, it's the "pre-qualifying round', so in terms of semantics it's slightly different than heats. Top-12 athletes don't have to qualify, similar to what we see in some other sports (ski jumping, to take an example).
  21. Still I prefer this system than most of the top athletes saying "I have to run three rounds? Forget it, I'll just prepare for the Olympics instead of go to Euro's". I'm pretty sure this rule wasn't introduced one week ago, so if athletes wanted to receive a bye too, they should have run faster.
  22. Though basically everyone agrees that this helped getting a very competitive field, since a whole ton of top athletes won't be skipping the Euro's in favour of Olympic preparation now. Of course some do, but less than normal. Besides, at Olympics the "top athletes" receive bye from qualifying/preliminaries, the only difference is that in that case it's most athletes instead of the top-12.
  23. I love this commercial with Margret Rumat Rumat Hassan so much
