  1. Women's Eurobasket draw:
  2. Unless his brain is the size of a peanut, when a player makes a tackle like that (which is a textbook example of serious foul play that must always be punished with a red card) he knows that he can cause harm if he hits the opponent. Maybe it was not done on purpose to break Mertens's leg but it's still a conscious action.

  5. For Series A competitions (where there's no limit on the number of athletes that can participate) they can go on their own without approval from their federation, they only need to have a licence and pay for everything.
  6. that was not his way to celebrate, it was the guy behind him who lowered his pants and then touched his ass
  7. According to "La Gazzetta dello Sport" Stefan Luitz and possibly other Germans are under investigation by FIS (and WADA) for using prohibited medical equipment (oxygen inhalators which are prohibited by FIS in competition) before the second run in Beaver Creek. If true their results there could be cancelled.
  8. The IOC should not accept it, it's way past the deadline for proposing new events. Adding it now would only be a gift for a handful of women who are not among the very best race walkers in the world but have found a way to get a good result at the Olympics. It's good for Paris 2024 (but only if the IAAF accepts to use technology, otherwise race walking should be deleted from the programme).
  9. https://uptkd.com/resultados_campeonatos.php there's one file for each day from 29-11 to 2-12

  11. Yes, it's sure, it's written both in the ranking regulations and in the FAQs related to Tokyo 2020 on WKF site. It should be 2019 because the 2020 ECh is scheduled for May 2020 - qualification period through Olympic standings ends on 6 April 2020
  12. When is the meeting with male synchronised swimmers (who already compete at WCh in mixed duets but are barred from the Olympics) scheduled for?
  13. Of course I did...I always predict precisely what will happen. If you want to know my method, pre order my book "Nostradamus and sports predictions: everything that you need to know - volume 1 part 1", the price is only 66,66€.

  15. Group A: Italy, Spain, Poland, Belgium Group B: Germany, Denmark, Serbia, Austria Group C: England, France, Romania, Croatia
  16. So if India is losing a football match 2-5 you prefer to have a commentator who tells you that they're winning 2-0 and destroying their opponent because "he's paid for talking about Indian goals and not vice versa" rather than a competent commentator who tells you what's really happening on the field
  17. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2018_IQA_World_Cup, it will be surely an Olympic sport in LA 2028.
  18. No, ENG/GBR can't qualify. And we also know the seeded teams for the draw: Poisition 1 in Group A: Italy (hosts) Pot 1: Germany, EnglandPot 2: Spain, Denmark, FrancePot 3: Serbia, Croatia, Belgium, Austria, Poland, Romania

  20. 21. No, but FIVB rankings are updated. http://www.fivb.org/en/volleyball/VB_Ranking_M_2018-10.asp So it should be: 1) Brazil - Egypt - Bulgaria - Puerto Rico or Korea 2) USA - Belgium - Netherlands - Korea or Puerto Rico 3) Italy - Serbia - Australia - Cameroon 4) Poland - France - Slovenia - Tunisia 5) Russia - Iran - Cuba - Mexico 6) Canada - Argentina - Finland - China
  22. Not about what Salvini said, but the article also mentions the dispute between the government and CONI, which is heating up: the CONI president (who is also a newly elected IOC member) was furious today https://www.ansa.it/english/news/sports/2018/11/15/malago-blasts-govts-coni-reform_50e37f2c-cead-4e09-ad48-839e22d741c5.html ... this conflict is quite dangerous for the bid.
  23. I think we Italians must be realistic...we are already going towards a big reduction in funding for high performance sport, if we also host the Olympics many years of miserable results and reduced participation in all sports will surely come.
  24. IAAF changed their mind and reverted back to the old qualification system, World Rankings won't count (at least for 2019). Under the Doha 2019 entry system, athletes will be able to qualify in four ways: - By achieving the entry standard within the qualification period. - By winning the Area Championship in all individual events except the marathon, an athlete will be considered to have achieved the entry standard (subject to the approval of the Technical Delegate who will assess the standard of specific events). - By Wild Card, as the reigning World Champion, winner of the 2019 IAAF Diamond League or leader of the IAAF Hammer Throw Challenge, Race Walk Challenge and Combined Events Challenge (at the end of the qualification period). However only one athlete can be nominated per country under this clause as there is a limit of four athletes per country in total. - By being among the best ranked athletes on the IAAF Top Performance Lists within the respective qualifying periods (except in the 10,000m, marathon and race walks). https://www.iaaf.org/news/press-release/revised-qualification-system-for-iaaf-world-a
