  1. If Zonderland competes at the Worlds and the Dutch team qualify, he won't be able to get a ticket through the World Cup. But if Zonderland competes at the Worlds and the Dutch team don't qualify, he will be able to get a ticket through this World Cup (unless he gets it at the apparatus final at the Worlds).
  2. But Wierer also competed in the single mixed relay. And the staff let Vittozzi skip the relay in Ruhpolding to rest for the MS the following day so it makes sense to let Wierer do the same today if she wanted to.
  3. Wierer will rest, replaced by Runggaldier, so no medal chance for Italy.
  4. The sad thing imo is that certain users who constantly insult other users (+ their countries even if they are not related to the discussion, because why not trying to provoke in every possible way and satisfy their need for attention) have never been restricted or banned, and then they complain about the way others decide to deal with them.
  5. I wonder if Paris has already become the skier with more WC wins among those who have not won an Olympic medal.
  6. And so it happened that during one of his travels Asterix met Pinocchio. The two of them fell in love, married and adopted two little girls, Laura and Anastasiya, and taught them everything they knew about potions and lies...
  7. Anyway for sports with more pictograms you can combine them in a gif: (I know that basketball/baseball are not one sport before anyone feels the need to point that out)
  8. Where did you find all the pictograms as images?
  9. But they are in the start list on https://biathlonresults.com ?
  10. That's why I said "individual sabre" (the weapon in which it's most surprising to see a 40 yo at the top)...and "this century", mainly because on FIE site there are complete results (including all events in the World Cup circuit) since 2002...then they scanned magazines with some results from the 90s but before that it's quite difficult to find them.
  11. 2nd place in Padua for 40 yo old Aldo Montano. Surely the oldest man to get a podium in individual sabre in this century.
  12. Rank Flag #1 #2 #3 #4 #5
  13. Thailand would have been banned anyway in weightlifting, they're well over the limit of 3 positives during the qualification period.
  14. Said by the guy who just compared twice Herrmann (2nd leg) to Olsbu (1st leg)
  15. Czech Republic is east of Oder?
  16. But many people don't know the rules and are too arrogant to go read them...so they say that the ball was clearly out. And since there was no camera which could provide a clear image of the ball being out, it was correct to confirm the first referee's decision.
  17. Here we go again: Day 1: Dahlmeier is ill Day 2: Dahlmeier drinks her magic potion Day 3: Dahlmeier is back and already dominating.
  18. Any news about the Austrian and German teams?
  19. Thanks, I found it and as expected also in that case the winner, neotom, used only 10 and 1 points bets + a few 3s. Definitely time to change imo.
  20. http://www.fivb.org/EN/Media/viewPressRelease.asp?No=80543&Language=en The participating teams in the 2019 FIVB Volleyball Men's and Women's World Cups to be held later this year have been confirmed, as host cities across Japan for the two tournaments have been announced. The competition, which this year will not be part of the Olympic Qualification process, features, for each gender, hosts Japan, the reigning world champions, plus the top two teams from each continental confederation according to the FIVB World Rankings. The women's competition will run from 14 to 29 September, followed by the men's event from October 1 to 15.• Women's 2019 FIVB World Cup:Host: JapanWorld Champion: SerbiaAsia: China & KoreaAfrica: Cameroon & KenyaEurope: Russia and the NetherlandsNorth and Central America and Caribbean: USA & Dominican RepublicSouth America: Brazil & Argentina• Men's 2019 FIVB World Cup:Host: JapanWorld Champion: PolandAsia: Iran & AustraliaAfrica: Egypt & TunisiaEurope: Italy & RussiaNorth and Central America and Caribbean: USA & CanadaSouth America: Brazil & Argentina
  21. I have a question: was Rio 2016 the first edition of this kind of contest?
  22. I agree that the system must be changed. This time I skipped over half the questions immediately (wrongly because a couple of them deserved a 10 points bet, but still I got the second place...). Now it's clear to everyone that if you want to score the most points you have to follow this strategy.
  23. Let's wait for the names of those 40 or 50 athletes involved before saying that.
  24. I'm saying that if you decide to deduce points for lost bets instead of giving 0 points nothing would change: the best strategy would be the same, the ranking would be same (a user who in this last contest scored N points with this new rule would score N-(200-N) points and someone would probably go in the negative but the ranking would be the same). I would keep the current points system but fix the number of 10,9,8,...2,1 points bets that each user has to place. For example if there are 50 questions each user would have to place five 1-point bets, five 2-points bets,...., five 9-points bets and five 10-points bets. If there are 60 questions each user would have to place six 1-point bets, six 2-points bets and so on.
  25. No, it would make no difference.
