  1. And Kimberly Rhode at last year's World Championships
  2. A few weren't mentioned, I think there are exactly 100 athletes who competed at least in 2000, 04, 08, 12 and 16. Full list below. If she competes in Tokyo, Nino Salukvadze can tie the record of 9 consecutive participations.
  3. Thanks, what about the Italian that you mentioned before?
  4. Who are they? When/why/how were they careers cut short?
  5. How am I supposed to know if you did it right? You have to register or log in and then pick your team.

  7. Finally we have the (at least provisional) calendar for next season so here's the main competitions which will count for the Olympic ranking (there's also going to be a lot of Satellite events in September-October but they award very few points). Team Ranking = World Champs + Continental Champs + best 4 results out of 5 World Cups Individual Ranking = World Champs + Continental Champs + other best 5 results Updates on the Olympic rankings here: https://www.facebook.com/FencingTokyo/ Date Place Nation Weapon Gender Competition Team April 26-28 Seoul KOR Sabre Men / Women Grand Prix May 3-5 Cali COL Epee Men / Women Grand Prix May 3-5 Tauberbischofsheim GER Foil Women World Cup x May 3-5 St. Petersburg RUS Foil Men World Cup x May 10-12 Tunis TUN Sabre Women World Cup x May 10-12 Madrid ESP Sabre Men World Cup x May 17-19 Paris FRA Epee Men World Cup x May 17-19 Dubai UAE Epee Women World Cup x May 17-19 Shangai CHN Foil Men / Women Grand Prix May 24-26 Moscow RUS Sabre Men / Women Grand Prix June 8-12 Bamako MLI All Men / Women African Championships x June 13-18 Tokyo JPN All Men / Women Asian Championships x June 17-22 Dusseldorf GER All Men / Women European Championships x June 27- July 2 Toronto CAN All Men / Women Panamerican Championships x July 15-23 Budapest HUN All Men / Women World Championships x September-October All Men / Women Satellite Competitions November 1-3 Tallinn EST Epee Women World Cup x November 8-10 Bonn GER Foil Men World Cup x November 8-10 Orleans FRA Sabre Women World Cup x November 15-17 Algiers ALG Sabre Men World Cup x November 22-24 Algiers ALG Foil Women World Cup x November 22-24 Bern SUI Epee Men World Cup x December 13-15 St. Maur FRA Foil Women World Cup x December 13-15 Tokyo JPN Foil Men World Cup x December 13-15 Salt Lake City USA Sabre Women World Cup x January 10-12 Katowice POL Foil Women World Cup x January 10-12 Paris FRA Foil Men World Cup x January 10-12 Warsaw POL Sabre Men World Cup x January 10-12 La Havana CUB Epee Women World Cup x January 10-12 Heidenheim GER Epee Men World Cup x January 24-26 Doha QAT Epee Men / Women Grand Prix February 7-9 Turin ITA Foil Men / Women Grand Prix February 7-9 Barcelona ESP Epee Women World Cup x February 7-9 Vancouver CAN Epee Men World Cup x February 14-16 Cancun MEX Sabre Men / Women Grand Prix February 21-23 Cancun MEX Foil Women World Cup x February 21-23 Cairo EGY Foil Men World Cup x March 6-8 Athens GRE Sabre Women World Cup x March 6-8 Padua ITA Sabre Men World Cup x March 6-8 Budapest HUN Epee Men / Women Grand Prix March 13-15 Anaheim USA Foil Men / Women Grand Prix March 20-22 St. Niklaas BEL Sabre Women World Cup x March 20-22 Budapest HUN Sabre Men World Cup x March 20-22 Suzhou CHN Epee Women World Cup x March 20-22 Buenos Aires ARG Epee Men World Cup x
  8. No, you don't understand at all because you keep saying "someone burned one of a gazillion copies of a book", "attacking people who burn books" diminishing the role of "the book" which in this case it's not only a book, it's a symbol that stands for "Muslims"...burning that book in a public show is not different than going around with a big written sign and shouting "You Muslims must fuck off, die, burn"... blaming both sides equally seems a Trumpist statement.
  9. Come on, if you make a show of burning something which holds a significance for a group of people it's clear that you are making a statement/warning/threat against them, you can't completely ignore the symbolic meaning given to things or events and call people idiots.
  10. Unfortunately I don't think this part of their preview is correct...Cardin is not in the Italian team.
  11. It's unpleasant to read and write posts with such a tiny line spacing, can I change it somewhere?
  12. Here's the last published Grand Slam Merit points standings for future reference: http://www.worldtaekwondo.org/wt-grand-slam-merit-point-standing-2019/
  13. Disaster in the last round for Bacosi Quota for (Aleksandra Jarmolinska) and (Andri Eleftheriou) in women's skeet.
  14. Arop was born in Sudan but he is Canadian.
  15. Transoceanic swimming (from San Francisco to Tokyo for the next Olympics). No water swimming: judges evaluate athletes who pretend to swim (on a skateboard) "Catch me while I'm swimming": a version of the "cops and robbers" game played in a pool.
  16. None of the results obtained until now are important for the qualification via World Ranking in shotgun events (30 April 2020 but World Cups and WCH are only valid for 1 year).
  17. Teams that qualified for the Super Final:
  18. World Championships draws:
  19. Starting tomorrow: live streaming http://fie.org/live or https://www.youtube.com/user/FIEvideo/ live results, entries, draw, etc. https://www.fencingtimelive.com/tournaments/eventSchedule/44AD391FF59A4D81A73936D4B1CAF5E3#today
  20. phelps is a very old man, everyone knows that breakdancing, freestyle skatesurfing and rap battling while dressed as ninja turtles are the future of the Olympics...no more boring sports for middle-aged and rural people!
  21. It's not a problem of something being sensitive, it's a problem of mocking and accusing all over the internet (just Google their names, you'll get plenty of articles) two people without any proof. Here the only "proof" is that they're Ethiopians + a pic taken in a particular moment ( I can't even say their looks...this tweet below has nothing to do with the situation but in the first 3-4 seconds of the video you see Yetwale at the start, imo he looks much younger than in that pic:
  22. Great, just one photo in which their face is not really relaxed because they are running is enough to start a crusade against them.
  23. Big news today: IOC considers ending Winter Olympics after 2034 edition amid climate change fears: https://gamesbids.com/eng/winter-olympic-bids/future-winter-bids/ioc-considers-ending-winter-olympics-after-2034-edition-amid-climate-change-fears/
  24. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCCuNpZUFKAaQIlyLt5-bp_g This should work from Italy as usual.
  25. have qualified for the Super Final (where one team will win the first Olympic ticket).
