  1. Dressage Favorites - Dark horses - In regards to Group G, Australia should be the favorite on paper, but New Zealand can spring a surprise. Jumping Favorites - Dark horses -
  2. Oh, right, I should specify. Everyone with a team is also entered for the individual events as well with 3 or 4 athletes.
  3. Nominated entries are out for the World Championships in Herning next month. Dressage Teams (21) - Individuals (13) - Top 6 teams + the highest team from Group G ( or ) will qualify for Paris 2024. Jumping Teams (25) - Individuals (11) - Top 5 teams will qualify for Paris 2024.
  4. Uhm... So far we are promised world-wide streaming with 8 live channels.
  5. I am mostly interested in watching live sports from Alabama.
  6. Treća u kugli. Prednost narasla na skoro 400 bodova.
  7. Third time watching team sports in person and third time that the home sode failed to win. This one was rather painful as the comfortable lead of 78:70 somehow got squandered in the last 90 seconds. Gazillion missed free throws. Finally ended with Bogdanović missing 3pt, Zubac getting a foul on rebound and of course missing both FTs. FTs in the last 90 seconds were 1/8 or something.
  8. So I am attending a qualifying matcha gainst Finland today in Rijeka (fun fact, it is being held at the same venue of the TAISC 2020 Grand Final). So far so... bad. Down 17:21 after Q1, but started with 2:14...
  9. Results system is broken... again. Currently it is showing 4 gold medalists for individual jumping. There must have been a jump-off per every rule in the book.
  10. And it's an eagle at #17! Hole 18 is playing above par today, but still Meronk would need a major meltdown to drop this.
  11. Meronk takes the sole lead with two holes to go.
  12. The Mediterranean is not that mediocre at 800 m.
  13. I have been praising the Lithuanian equestrians all year, but credit where credit is due. Another landmark was set today as Vanagaite set a new NR and become the first Lithuanian to break 70% in a purely technical GP test. https://results.equestrian-hub.com/show/41115/dressage/537468
  14. Syria won the gold in team jumping.
  15. Dominican Republic is pretty good at collecting new sports to debut in. In Rio, they debuted in archery, cycling, equestrian and tennis. In Tokyo, they debuted in baseball and rowing. You'd think they would be running out of options, but nope, here comes the football debut out of literal nowhere.
  16. Lebanon will win a medal in shooting. Andorra will win once canoe slalom becomes part of the program.
  18. Interesting bit of interview with Henri Ruoste at the Aachen press conference. "My parents bought me my first pony before I could say I want to play ice hockey." @hckošice https://www.eurodressage.com/2022/07/01/dufour-wins-5-grand-prix-2022-cdio-aachen-denmark-lead-nations-cup
  19. One wonders why they have been receiving paychecks for the past 9 months or so, but alright.
  20. Aachen Dressage Nations Cup standings after Grand Prix... 229.740% 228.499% 219.608% 218.370% 218.282% 216.348% 215.391% 210.457% Detailed results Yeah, Germany lost with their likely Herning team. And yes it was expected. Actually it was Denmark who kind of flopped (well, everyone except Dufour). So many people are confident about them taking team gold at the World Championships, but Germany came really close today. Sweden and Spain also have their best teams here in Aachen. Curiously, Dufour scored 81.5% with Vamos Amigos today, more than percent higher than she did with the preferred championship choice Bohemian yesterday. Danish team selectors will be having some serious headaches this week.
  21. At first I was with Guatemala here, but now I kind of root for Dominican Republic. We are two events into the Olympic qualification, and if they win, we will already witness a truly miracle qualification. They didn't even have a Wiki page for their U20 team when this tournament started.
  22. They played 3 (50%) matches less than Guatemala in this tournament... Certifiable format.
  23. It would be pretty controversial if DOM ends up taking the spot.
