  1. Did they though? Or was it a new interpretation? At any rate, keeping two gold medals is the only fair way of working around this. It's not the original gold medalists' fault that they read the rules wrong, interpreted it differently later, or whatever combination of the two things.
  2. What a wonderful precedent to set. I guess at some point in the future they will start re-awarding gold medals to caught dopers and downgrading to silver those who played fair (at the time).
  3. So... Three months after firing his first and only coach, Filip Zubčić has finally hired a new one. Some Russian dude Sergey Komarov. Career highlight is 22nd place from 2002 Salt Lake City... in the combined... out of 25 finishers. Previously coached Russian women, Bulgarian men and Polish men. So, yeah, absolutely zero experience with skiers who have climbed WC podiums. This just seems like a ludicrous decision. I think Zubo is not coming back ever after this.
  4. It's based on accumulated points from each judge... 3:0 just means that the judges are (currently) unanimous, and not necessarily that one fighter is clearly leading. For example, a lead of 1-0 early in a match on one judge's scorecard can quickly change to 1-2 or something, which then changes the overall scoreboard as well.
  5. Gold in boules. Well done Jelovica. Funily enough, we performed better here than at the Mediterranean Games. Also, another medal is secured as Anto Širić made the final in heavyweight kickboxing. Exciting stuff. These will be, quite convincingly, the best WG to date for us.
  6. The crowd will enjoy the sun in their eyes.
  7. Another medal secured in lyonnaise. Probably another silver, but what can you do. Also, Cambodia made the petanque semis.
  8. Welp, racquetball seems to be pretty hard to follow.
  9. Well, make that another silver, but a very nice medal nevertheless for the girl from the picturesque Komiža. Is the proof in the pudding here? Are getting that fifth silver in beach handball?
  10. Commentator:" That's Thomas Bach. He was a sailor, wasn't he? Sailing was his Olympic sport?" Surely he made this error on purpose, just to spite Bach and his pettiness.
  11. Final for Ria Vojković! Lyonnaise is a lot of fun, but damn, that TV direction can be improved vastly.
  12. I want Super Lifesaver in the Olympics.
  13. Shared gold in a life saving relay. You don't see that every day.
  14. Bart Swings wins with 27 points. Literally he won every single split in a points race.
  15. Bart Swins is just toying with them. Hilarious.
  16. Refreshing to see Colombia lose (in a non-DQ-galore race). I have no problem with the course. Road cyclist have to tackle road furniture all the time. Same should apply for inline skaters if they wish to compete on the road as well.
  17. Silver medal for A. Kvesić and no medal for I. Kvesić in karate. Not an exceptional performance, but not a disaster either. We are now up to three silvers. Beach handball is likely our only chance of a gold medal.
  18. We won two silvers in finnswimming.
  19. Just tuned in for the powerlifting. Surely this is not a serious sport? If you need 5 (!) officials standing around, protecting each athlete, then maybe just don't do it?
  20. "Collapsed after a gunshot was heard." Briliant journalism. Makes up for a completely wrong conclusion.
  21. Huh? Looks like he got honest, for once.
  22. Nominated entries are out for para-dressage and vaulting as well. Para-dressage Vaulting Men's Women's Squad Pas-de-Deux
