  1. Laura Muir feels only possible individual medal GB is getting on the track with Dina in shit form. GB Athletics is going to be in massive Shit and will get funding cut in a sport that is so hard to really improve from one games to another.
  2. And it being held on a Grand Slam court.
  3. https://www.japantimes.co.jp/sports/2021/07/31/olympics/summer-olympics/russia-doping-usada/
  4. https://www.swimmingworldmagazine.com/news/russian-olympic-committee-releases-sarcastic-statement-over-doping-comments-made-at-pool/
  5. I think with Athletics it was decided to catch up on them a bit later as that is a bit quicker.
  6. The BBC do not have the rights to air more than two events at once - the deal their did with Discovery to keep rights for 2022 and 2024 (As discovery was talking about setting up their own freeview Channel) have prevented that.
  7. Great results in the Mixed events. Athletics looks a total disaster and I think the aftermath there will make the Rowing aftermath look tame.
  8. Not sure I agree about that.
  9. Canada is the opposite of GB. GB’s men are noticeably better than the women while Canada is the opposite.
  10. It wouldn’t work now a days because the majority of people would see the result on social media even if the broadcast media totally ignored it.
  11. Have any other broadcasters shown interviews during the race. The BBC has just interviewed Leamouth after her leg was completed.
  12. Yet NBC News app send news alerts announcing high profile victories not being shown live.
  13. The BBC highlights show points out the issue also occurred during the second heat and it affected Brazil in that race.
  14. Probably just the pundit’s opinion. I can’t remember what he said about podium protests and the controversy regarding Sun Yang in 2019 and Effimova and Herasimenia in 2016.
  15. On the BBC daily highlights show just now they ignored that Greenbank chirped up about doping, giving the impression only Murphy commented on the issue but then defended Rylov by saying he has been at the top of field since Rio and said that while it looked like Murphy was not directly accusing Rylov (that’s a stretch) he was still being unfair on him,
  16. Not sure they would. In the UK Jess Varnish got direct funding from UK Cycling - in the USA athletes are not paid by the governing bodies ,
  17. I met him once back around the time he was undertaking legal action against the BOA. He was quite friendly.
  18. That only happened as he admitted to the BBC what date he started using the drug - he still has his medals from the 1999 Worlds and 2001 Goodwill games as he claims he didn’t start using it till 2002. When he was initially banned he didn’t lose his 2002 results as he told the IAFF nothing about his 2002 use. Very few athletes admit to when they started doping.
  19. The American Courts. The Main reason USTF has that trial format is because America is litigation mad and it would all end in frequent court battles.
  20. They couldn’t select her for the relay without breaking their own rules that say the only those who run in the final can be selected. As her result was annulled she didn’t.
  21. USTF couldn’t legally ban Gatlin even if they tried. He would simply sue and win - CAS has made it clear governing bodies cannot ban athletes if they doping bans have expired. Blame CAS and The IOC because the IOC are only people who could put in place a rule that sees a lifetime ban from competiting for all dopers and get CAS to agree to it.
  22. Anyway how can you be so angry about Salazar but be so pro Russia.
  23. Lily King famously condemned Gatlin as well. And Russia should be banned because they committed state sponsored doping and every whistleblower and Anti doping organisation in the world recommend a total ban - but the IOC and CAS disagree with that. Efirmova appeared in the relay and while it is unlikely they will beat the Americans in that one things might explode if they do in any of the three finals.
  24. Still not authorised by the USA president when Putin authorised and paid for Russia Doping.
  25. Your comment shows even more hyperbole than me.
