    I’ve had multiple Breaking news notifications about this. Most coverage Biathlon has gotten in the UK in many years if ever.

    People on here missed the media backlash to the substandard performance in 2022 (Excluding Curling). Now there is a chance every sport will underperform. Don’t think people realise just how close UK Sport came to closing down all non Curling funding after that games.

    predicting 8 medals is not looking a sensible idea. After the backlash to Bejing they might well kill off Winter Sports funding.

    But unfortunately it might not translate to when it matters. World Championship medals mean nothing if the Olympics is a flop. Bejing was a warning to them. Two consecutive failures wont be accepted. If it gets really bad at least one of the glass callings will need to be broken - I.e two or more golds or gold on snow.

    The BBC here in is going to turn into a funeral coverage if the medal target is nobody near reached. Paris 2024 showed how the BBC has turned more and more NBC like.
