  1. It’s the drink, curse of the working man.
  2. Good luck, we will all definitely be supporting you.
  3. Bit of a shock in the Scottish nationals as former Junior Championship Team Aitken take down multi-medalled Eve Murdoch & advance to the ultra-hygienic World Championships. In the men’s Bruce Mouat & Co win.
  4. And also a win for Lolo Jones, who as a 100m hurdler had a lot of tragic bad beats.
  5. They are seperated by 4000 miles & several time zones, it’s going to happen. Mind you, even when John & Martin are separated by one yard, it often happens.
  6. It’s all a bit sad because normally my eponymous square outside my window is Ground Zero for rugby fans, but this year it is literally one man & his dog.
  7. Is there a way to get rid of those headlines in the news ticker which give away the results of events? Like many people, it can take me up to a week to catch up with everything that goes on, so it’s a nuisance to see headlines giving them away. (Quite happy with general sports news, of course)
  8. Scottish Curling finals: great match from the men this morning, now the women.
  9. Amazing race from Sundling in today’s semi - had a fall well over half-way, managed to get back to take second! It’s been a long time since anyone has done that.
  10. Peter & Juraj Sagan and Erik Baska all test COVID+ in training camp on Gran Canaria. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cycling/55962302
  11. Gee, it’s boring when one nation dominates. 1. 2. 3. Great day!
  12. I like The Grand Prix of the Moscow Patriarchate.
  13. We also have live Curling here in Scotland this weekend, with the British World Champs qualifiers. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/scotland/55951080
  14. Is it still a conspiracy theory when the conspirators boast they were conspiring? https://archive.fo/CAlUZ There was a conspiracy unfolding behind the scenes, one that both curtailed the protests and coordinated the resistance from CEOs. Both surprises were the result of an informal alliance between left-wing activists and business titans.
  15. Big business wastes no time in bribing the corrupt Biden family, as they did with the Obamas, who made more money from books than George RR Martin. https://apnews.com/article/hunter-biden-memoir-beautiful-things-84f0218fb720f7f29e79c517962d0011 No doubt film & Netflix deals to come.
  16. Well, in Canada you’re never far away from the next snowflake. The Canadian Olympic Committee said its athletes should avoid publicly criticizing China ahead of the 2022 winter games in Beijing, due to concerns that critics could be prosecuted under the Communist Party's national security laws, the Globe and Mail reported on Thursday. https://freebeacon.com/national-security/canadian-olympic-committee-warns-athletes-not-to-criticize-china/
  17. Greta Thunberg accidentally reveals her puppet strings to the world, proves that there really is a global conspiracy to manipulate bubble-headed social-media addicted celebs. https://nypost.com/2021/02/04/greta-thunberg-faces-probe-in-india-over-farm-protest-tweets/
  18. What’s your point? That she’s insane? Those are two beliefs that are demonstrably far crazier than she anything she believes, yet Joe Biden believes them. That she’s a whacko Conspiracy Theorist? Nancy Pelosi believes the Russians rigged the 2016 election, yet the Dems re-elected her.
  19. Conspiracy movies from the 1970s... Three Days of the Condor The Parallax View The Conversation All the President’s Men Capricorn One
  20. Wow, that really is insane! What on earth will she come up with next? That men should be able to compete in women’s sports? That gold-medal winning decathletes are really women? No, surely even she is not as crazy as that?
  21. If any of you are GCN Racing Subscribers, we get our first road cycling of the year. Friday - Australian National Criteriums Saturday - Australian National Road Race Champs
  22. I was talking about the Comintern Parties, not the Bolsheviks. All the Communist Parties living in exile in Moscow - of which the Vietnamese was one - were ruthlessly purged of anyone who might show the faintest glimmer of independence. But I agree about Chiang Kai-Shek. His problem was that practically all the journalists writing about China in the 20s & 30s were pro-Communist, so very few people in the West got an accurate picture.
  23. Sorry to see you falling for that Popular Front propaganda crap. Ho was Stalin’s man all the way through. Nobody in the Comintern who lived in Moscow in the 1930s survived without being 150% a Stalin loyalist.
  24. Bit worried that Commentators will mix them up with the Italian & US suits during the tight sprint finishes.
